Quite a few if the number of applicants at my RPAT is any indication. There were so many at the JIBC we needed another room. I wrote on Aug 22nd and I am waiting for my package. I am not sure how they score the test, but Cst Hunwicks said it had been changed from a pass at 3.2 to I believe, 3.9. Hope I passed. I am working with a trainer to get better with my running and to get faster & stronger for the PARE . This is everything I want in a career, just the anxiety of waiting is so bothersome (guess I better get used to it). I have an application from the VicPD and am considering a few other munis. I also applied to the CBSA. RCMP is my FIRST choice, but I want a career in law enforcement one way or another. Did any of you apply elsewhere? How are you finding the process? Good luck to all and dontcha love this forum? :)

Wow thats nuts eh! Good luck to you with the results, hope ya passed! PARE is lots of fun especially the cough you get afterwards, biggest thing I found was to try not to waste time between the run/pushpull/falls. My first time around I ran last and I got to see where people lost time, that seemed to be a major source forsure. I am a big guy (240) and I still managed to run a 3:11 so as long as you are in half decent shape you should fly through!

And do get used to waiting, i wrote my RPAT in Dec and I am not awaiting my BGI to be completed as well as my final medical (next wed). Well worth it tho!

Cheers

I agree! If you are sitting around waiting by yourself you start to take it personal. Hey maybe we will all be in a troop together! Some of us seem to be stuck in the same spot!

If you guys get to Depot don't wear long underwear in September and tell everyone it's cold. Just a piece of advice to not look like a pussy.

Hi all,

Its good to talk to other members or to be members of the E division. I am also a applicant and am pateintly waiting to schedule a RMSI I had a bit of a interesting timeline I guess but it sounds like this is the norm. I handed in my Selection Package on July 11 and was contacted about clarifying some information on September 22. After clarifying a few items I was informed I would be moving on to the RMSI. Apparently this would be scheduled in the next month or two.

I am really excited and hope that everything progresses alot faster!
