I know there were a few SW Ontario applicants on here so I just wanted to mention to check your junk/spam folders. I got a psych testing email this past week.
Congrats! In person for the paper test?
When did your original expire? Mine expired Aug 29 and I have not heard anything. I also received an email in the middle of the summer stating I am next intake ready as well. Hoping to get in to the next intake process, hopefully my expired psych doesn't affect this standing.
Looks like we are on similar timelines . Have they contacted you to redo the pysch with a appointment? My last email to them advised me that all expired tests have to be retaken.

More questions about the Pare, especially the Ottawa Police Fit. Do you usually get a trial run before you do the course? Do they give you more than 1 attempt? This is my first time so my apologies for the questions.

Where I did it, you don't get a full trial run, you get a few minutes to go over the elements , to try them , stairs, jump over mat, vault, push/pull. etc. But no full trial run. You can run a lap I guess if you like as you test the course, but why would you gas yourself out before the real thing ...

You could buy a practice session, if they offer it, on that one you will have plenty of time to run the whole test, even a few times.

My advice is practice the elements on your own - jumps, falls, stairs you can improvise outside on these and instead of paying for a trial, pay for a test and just run it. Worst case - you will have to run it again, fee for trial and real test was not that different as I recall .

Hi! I took the PARE test at the Ottawa Police Fit location. There is no trial run, but they let you test out the equipment before the test, and walk you through the course as well. There is no waiting period if you fail the test, so you could technically register for the next test day, if it (hopefully not) comes to that!

Good luck :)

You generally have to pay for a practice run, but if you have the money to spend, it might not be a bad idea, depending on what you want and how many times you want to do the pare, to do one and get a feel for where you need to improve! Where I did it through LEPAT, it was only $10 cheaper to do the practice compared to the actual run, but that may differ province to province. Good luck!

I did it at lepat as well but they no longer exist locally and I'll be redoing mine through redline

Where I did it, practice run was the same price as the actual run. Didn't make sense to me but I thought I might as well just go for the actual run if they cost the same. If I pass, I pass. If not, then it's not like I get penalized whatsoever on my application so :?

Anyone waiting for the Oral SLE Evaluation or know anything about Oral evaluations with COVID going on?

Also, can anyone confirm the validity of the following steps:

Psych: 1 year
PARE: 18 months
Medical: 1 year
Interview Results: indefinite
Security Clearance: ?

Many do wait for tests, including SLE Oral. Many tests are postponed for now, that is the reply from HR usually, but the applications remain active and the applicants will be contacted as soon as there's progress.

Psych : 2 years
PARE: 18 months
Medical: 1 year
Interview - Until the next application, I believe, not 100% sure on this
Sec clearance - 10 years

Could be as early as the next day or could be a few weeks, it all varies honestly. Patience is the key!

Hey guys,

Upon review of your application, we confirm that you are at the final stage of the selection process. You are on the list for the next intake to Rigaud.”

So really, the earliest I could expect is January, but it seems like there are multitudes of people at this stage as well, so for 2121, what are the month intervals for intakes?

Do you guys think there will be a higher demand for BSOs with the borders reopening? Maybe to deal with the swell of travelers?

Awesome news!!!

Few questions:
When did you receive said e-mail?
What was your selection # on the email for example: 14/15/16?

Thanks in advance
