That's rough I feel you . They should not make you redo it especially if you've been invited. I guess that is how they roll
I also heard stories about how people passed their first psych test and failed the second due to expiration. It sounded very crucial.

This is what I fear having to re-write also. I was literally waiting for the invite to Riguad, everything is completed up until this point but my psych expires August 2020. I passed it once and it seemed easy enough, but I know 2 other applicants who failed the psych, so I am worried about failing the second time through.
Imagine if you have to pass it every 2 years as a condition of employment ;)

Honestly I can see how some individuals would feel safer if mental health checks became more routine, especially in law enforcement careers where the use of a weapon or force are requirements.

I totally understand man. I haven't really applied for CBSA yet due to the COVID, but am in police application. I would assume the psych tests are very similar but I really wonder how some good could pass one and fail another. I mean what is it to decide who pass or not.

It is all subjective then, especially if both tests are taken shortly apart.

Unless different agencies look for different kinds of crazy at the test ;)

Good point! Makes total sense and I see the importance of these tests for sure. I guess it's just hard not to get frustrated throughout this three year hiring process, I am eager to start!

What region are you in? I only ask because I'm GTA and have been waiting about a year to do it for the first time. Wondering if they are getting them started again.

I guess I'm fortunate I didn't already complete it before COVID, if classes won't be resuming till 2021 :S

GTA too

How’s your timeline?

According to: https://www.canada.ca/en/public-service-commission.html

“ Due to COVID-19, all face-to-face operations at Public Service Commission test centres are postponed until further notice. This includes occupational tests, managerial and leadership assessments, and counselling sessions.”

Does it include Psych Assess?

Anyone here sent home from the college due to COVID? If so, have you heard of a return date? Had my clearance interview today and am excitedly waiting my chance.
so excited! How long was the phone interview? Wait for your good news! :P

CaptainMarvel: I didn’t receive any “reply email” from HR after I sent back the release form, just an Auto reply email .... :( also I’m living out of the country now, I’m worried about my timeline.
My call was about 45 minutes. I suppose the more info you have to provide, the longer it may be.

Hi, guys. I have a question which I also posted on RCMP section. Because I am planning to apply for CBSA as well so I would like to post again here. Please bear with me if I violated any forum rules.
The minimum education requirement for CBSA is high school diploma and my situation is a bit unique. I spent my first 19 years in a non English speaking country, which means I didn't go to high school in Canada. My family decided to move to Canada after I finished high school and I applied for a post-secondary institute before I came. Because it has been so long, I think I might have already lost the actual high school diploma during couple house movings. What I have now is a legit two-year diploma from a recognized Canadian college, my question is does my post-secondary diploma automatically replace the requirement of high school diploma? Because the college requires high school graduation for applicants to get accepted too. Anyways, if they still need the high school diploma, I will be in a big dilemma as it is almost impossible for me to leave Canada during COVID and it is, however, required in-person application in my home country to get a high school diploma replacement.
