CBSA should advertise this at their job fairs :)

"You may have to pass multiple times some steps of the selection process and is completely out of your control if that would happen or not. Pray for the best, but we really can't promise that the selection process timeline as described at our website is something you would be lucky enough to happen to you in the length described there."

Joke aside, it's really not acceptable for an organisation to ask candidates to repeat testing steps for no fault of their own. CBSA HR should get their sh.t together and make sure the selection process happens as described on their website.
Agreed. I hope none of us have to repeat steps But it sounds like repeating steps puts us back in With newer applicants To catch up so they can consolidate.
Agree 100%. It’s very unfair, 2.5 year process is absurd and I don’t even have an invite yet! I applied Nov 2017

Officially booked my Security Interview for next week. Gonna be doing over the phone most likely cuz of the Covid-19 situation. Pretty excited to be on the final stage before OITP/Rigaud.
Good luck! Hope we will be in training together! We applied about the same time.

I've gotta ask, is it confirmed that recruits have been sent back on the date mentioned in the forums (June 28th)? Or was this cancelled and moved to next year? I'm just trying to decipher this email and see if they're referring to our class or classes in general.

Please advise,

Thanks
Recruits are back as of that date. And I just filled out my paper work to go back July 26th but I start my online training the 20th

The email I got today A, B and C are continuing on with the training. D is postponed until further notice. Also the email stated they might not be able to resume training until April or so of next year.

Sucks for everyone including 15-D where majority of the people left jobs and now no training until forseable future. Hope they might reconsider their decision.

Can you expand on this? I was 15D and we have all been kept in the dark mostly.

There's not really anything to expand on. ABC have set dates for resumption, and D, since it's further out, does not. They will continue to evaluate as time goes on, but unfortunately with most LE recruiting processes, you are not informed of the inner workings of planning, etc. so don't expect anything different with this.

If you've been offered a spot in a wave, you will be informed when it's your turn. Until then, you're going to just drive yourself crazy wondering when it's going to happen.

I would assume that it's being held for now as well until Waves A and B are underway...

Specific answers to your questions, I do not have, nor am I at liberty to share. If you want a better answer, talk to Recruitment, or if Rigaud has a web contact, they could maybe help you find an answer.

Don't stress about things you have absolutely no control over, use the time to get as much as you can in order prior to leaving, and prepare yourself mentally for being away from everyone you know for 4 months + however long based on your posting.

Hi all! Been a lurker for awhile but just wanted to say hello. I applied in January 2019 and just being patient as the intake process slowly clicks on. Got the email last week about the waiver for the Psych evaluation so it was nice to feel a little bit of progress! Back in November I attended the 2 day FWILE (Future Women in Law Enforcement) workshop in Calgary and had an amazing time. It made me so excited for a future in law enforcement and after getting to experience a bit of the different agencies (RCMP, CPS, CBSA), I know for sure that CBSA is the one for me. Best of luck to everyone currently in the applicant pool, we will get there eventually! :D

Hi everyone,

I have read in the forum that PARE test results validity have not been extended. However, I e-mailed recruiting to check in when mine expires (I did it Aug 2019) and was told that mine expires February 8, 2021. So, I would assume that it has been extended 6 months? Has anyone else encountered this?

Also, I inquired about the CAT III testing and was told that my family doctor can complete the test but Health Canada has to validate them and they have not started doing so at this time. Just an FYI to anyone else in the same situation.

The pare result is valid for 18 months, so yours is not extended. It is just valid for 18 months period. From the reply from recruitment, the pare result is not extended.
