Just did my CAT III assessment on the 19th this month but still haven't gotten any news. I was suppose to do it at a Health Canada office in Toronto but because they're closed for the month, I had to do it at a clinic in Hamilton (as per instructions from CBSA). Should I wait a little bit more or should I contact them now? And who exactly do I contact if that's the case? :ponder:

Thanks :D
Hello, I would consider waiting a tad more as everything seems to be pretty slow nowadays. You can always reach out to recruitment and ask for an update regarding the cat III. When did you get an invite for your medical? Thanks
Hmm.. that's what I thought. I'll give it another week or two then. I got the medical invite early February this year. I wanted to book it earlier but the next available appointment at the time was May :? Oh well :D
Nice you should definitely hear back from CBSA. Thanks for the info and good luck for the security interview! Hopefully a 2020 intake for you!

I did mine at the same location in April. It was the second one I had done as the previous one was set to expire this summer and they told me to redo it to make myself eligible for the summer intakes. I never received notification from CBSA until I emailed recruitment, the first time. The second time, I just asked the nurse and the doctor if everything looked good and they both said that it was a pass. The feeling I got was that barring anything major like near blind/ deaf or on the verge of a heart attack, most relatively healthy individuals pass. Needless qualifying statement: Not a doctor...

I had to email as well to get the wheels going for my medical and ended up redoing mine with my family doctor. Hoping we don't have to redo any further steps and for some good news this year for 2021

Hey everyone hope you are all safe and healthy. While it’s not me directly who got this email. A friend from wave A sent someone I know an email about them going back to Rigaud June 28th. I literally know nothing else. But this is definitely better news than waiting till the new year. Hope this finds you all well and while not directly taking you to Rigaud giving you some happy thoughts of the ball rolling once again.

Thanks for sharing !

Makes perfect sense, there will be some more measures to protect I assume for a while and maybe leaving campus will be a bit restricted at first, but definitely a great news !

"Canada's border agency says there's "growing evidence" that organized crime groups are trying to corrupt its officers, leading to a growing number of cases of drug and firearm smuggling."

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/cbsa-o ... -1.5584691

""You can't say the agency is corrupt, of course. It's just a few people corrupted, but that happened in the past ... there are bad apples everywhere."

A 2017 Auditor General's report found that while the Canada Border Services Agency and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada both developed controls to curb corruption, "neither organization adequately monitored the controls to ensure they were working as intended.""

"From soliciting bribes to abuse of authority, CBSA officers hit with hundreds of misconduct complaints"

Oddly I just got a email asking me to do a alternate written exam because I was exempt from writing the standardized tests which I must complete. Not sure if it's a pass or fail since the email doesn't say it but it sounds like they have too many people in the pool and picking the best ones

No need to worry. Everyone who skipped the exam had to do it. You are not the only one. Just pay attention to the exam instructions.

Yeah, it's not about picking the best, just making sure everyone in the current process pool have passed the test as in the pool from 2019 applicants everyone had to do it.

Chill and do the test. Good luck !

I received the same email today for being exempt. It further states that if you have valid results from the GCT 2-314 and WCPT-351 tests, you don't have to write it. I actually did those tests when I applied in 2014 before I received a deferral later in the process. Does anyone know how long those results would be valid for? I've tried searching but can't seem to find information.

Thanks! I had to read through the information again if a reply was needed but does not state it.

Email and advise them of this. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think they have a expiry date.
