Meh, everyone across the country receiving the same email is hardly considered moving forward. Psych eval dates are still gonna vary a ton. I doubt my Alberta date will be close to the Ontario dates.

Still happy to just not be forgotten though.

These tests are quite expensive as I notice from the email, just the no show fee ("cancellation fee of $825") is close to 1000$, imagine the total cost of the exam :)

I thought I would try and "swing our conversation"

Why do you want to a CBSA officer(Five reasons) and where do you want to be posted?(3 Locations)

I want to be a CBSA officer(I was going to write enforcer!) because.

1.I Love meeting new people and providing great customer service.
2. Great uniform, Great Training, Great Benefits, Fair pay.
3. I dislike liars, cheaters, thiefs, drug dealers, and i'd love to catch them guarding this great Country
4. Opportunity for advanced training, different positions / occupations.
5. Pension

Posting(s)
I prefer Land borders

1. New Brunswick
2. British Columbia
3. Detroit or Kingston

I'll just do the easy stuff first about where I wanna be posted

1. Anywhere in Alberta, prefer Calgary Int'l Airport

2. Southern B.C. at any land border crossing or Vancouver Int'l Airport

3. Ontario, not too familiar with Ontario aside from scary housing prices but Pearsons Int'l Airport I guess.

Just want a big city or be near a big city to help me with work-life balance and also settling down with a wife and kids! I feel like I'd be one lonely and bored guy at an Alaska border crossing. At the end of the day, I signed the agreement to be posted anywhere in Canada.

Hoping my homie, Captain Marvel can stop lurking and participate here and answer this question!

It would have been great if they can fill in all intakes at Rigaud with applicants with preferences , matching the regions where the need of new BSOs will be at graduation time. There still can be the mobility clause, just some flexibility in it ;).

Many quality applicants never apply because of the random mobility requirement.

But we are cool with it ;)

Reasons:
1. I still remember the moment I landed in Toronto, the first people I spoke with was the girl from immigration. Ever since that moment, I always think it is a good career to get into.
2. I love to protect my country.
3. Good career, good pay, good pension.
4. This is a career that my kids will be proud of.

I really want to be posted to Toronto Pearson Airport, or anywhere as close to Toronto as possible.

Reasons why i want to be a CBSA Officer

1. Fighting the war against drugs on the front line for our country.
2. Mobility! I am from a small town and this is a fantastic reason to move elsewhere and better myself
3. Fair Pay + Good benefits
4. Family within law enforcement. However, i want to go a new route with the CBSA.
5. Best training in the world for this type of service.

Top 3 places to be posted

1. A small city of ontario, maybe Cornwall or Kingston
2. New Brunswick
3. BC

I live 25 minutes from the rigaud training academy and I always drive past and honestly, it’s quite impressive.

Nice, Where abouts in New Brunswick? I am interested in the land border crossing outside of McAdam, NB. Our places of preference are pretty similiar JJ

I hate drugs, I live 20 minutes from OPC, thats kills me lol.
