I spoke to my friend yesterday who is currently at Rigaud and he said that they were told that their classes are continuing, however they were advised that the next wave was being delayed. Unless things have changed since yesterday.
Ok I guess at this rate a invite this year in the summer is out of the question for us. Welcome psych and pare redo! :drinking:

I feel you, I applied just after you in October 2017. Did my medical and pare twice so far. Psych expiring in may. I was in online this February/March destined for Rigaud this April but was not taken with the rest of the class for some reason so either way I'm gonna have to redo med and psych and hope for a fall intake invite or even next year. Guess we gotta hang in there though it's good to always look for something else.

Fingers crossed people do their part during this lockdown so we can all get back to our lives soon.

Many banks are offering a freeze on mortgage payments. Hopefully the recruits and many of us can make some use of that offer. I’m currently in aviation and it’s not looking good for any of us. This is something the entire world is going through and hopefully it will come to an end soon until then stay safe and healthy everyone!

Hopeful for a summer intake invite since the ones who have been asked to leave now from rigaud maybe asked to come back during summer to finish where they left off and possibly combine us

At this rate with the hiring process already being closed since February 2019 and now the COVID-19 delays, I never even lost any progress with my Pysch deferral in September 2019

True but even individuals who have applied in the past still waiting so it may push back even further new applicants or reinserted ones

Banks are not offering to freeze mortgage payments. They are offering to defer payments on a case by case bases that the customer must apply for to a maximum of 6 months. It's still unclear if interest will be added on and terms extended.

A lot of what I'm reading indicates deferred mortgage and rent with all deferred payment being expected at once as soon as this all blows over. Of course there's no official information out there at all and it would be nice if banks did release across-the-board rules. This is gonna be a huge conundrum for everyone over time, depending how long this lasts.

"It's prudent financial advice to accumulate an emergency savings fund that can last for a few months if necessary."

Stop buying all that BS you don't need or can't afford and you will not cry to Govt anytime you have no salary for 2-3 months ;)

It amazes me how many claim they will be "bankrupt" if they have no salary for a few months ...

Just said that because my PARE test was originally due in March (to be considered for summer/spring intake) it has been extended until May since most places holding the tests are closing.
