Hello, so I'm a long time scroller of this forum but have never posted. My timeline is as follows:

Applied: August 2018
OTEE: September 2018 - PASSED
Interview: January 2019 - PASSED
Psych Written: October 2019 - PASSED
Psych Interview: November 2019 - PASSED
Security Documents in: January 2020
PARE: January 2020 - PASSED
CAT III: Currently booked
Integrity Interview: TBD
OITP: TBD
Rigaud: TBD

I'm wondering if someone with experience could tell me how long I'm looking at roughly until getting an OITP invite? I'm hoping to at least get in this year 2020.

Thanks!
There are many people waiting from what I understand since 2016. Based on a prior post I think hire based on priority(different variables). It maybe a while or could be next year or the following year only recruitment could answer it after completing all steps successfully.

Feel free to look at my timeline seems we’ve applied at roughly the same time.. you could get next January at the earliest or even 2022 at the latest because some people get the short straw and are stuck in the process 2-3 years

Hello JEagle,

How is your online training so far? I think you are lucky, there are people who received their clearance from June 2019 are still waiting for invite. Good luck at Rigaud!

I thought I would be waiting for awhile to get an invite but I also thought it was first come first serve, the online training is in-depth but I also found it very easy to complete even while working full time.

Thank you! I’ve got my fingers crossed for you to get a summer intake invite!

So there were 125 applicants left for the 006 competition and 525 for the 007 competition. I don't know how many have failed a part of the process but that was what was left. I had heard they no longer use the 006 competition, maybe someone who is in the 006 can confirm, they had said that if you were in the 006 you would be transferred to the 007.

Now obviously some are still added on a weekly basis in those numbers. Don't forget some have already been invited to Rigaud in those numbers and some were successful. At about 375 candidates a year at Rigaud, you can calculate a time frame for your chance to go to Rigaud.

I had previously mentioned something about the priority list: Those who have served in the Canadian Military (Vets) are considered priority.

Hey Ulcaster555, thanks a lot for the detailed info as usual, much appreciated.

Any idea when the gates will open up for new competition in 2020?

For those who have re-done the medical - does that include the hearing test, or just the doctor-signed forms?

I applied part of 006 but I've received emails placing /007 as well so I'm not sure if I was transferred. I'm still waiting for a med redo . All this waiting it seems I may not make it for this year as well and be bound into the loop to redo psych and pare as well 😂

So I was able to identify that I’m included in the 007 but that being said, like you, I also have concerns that this will happen to me as well and that I might be caught waiting till January having to redo a few extra steps on top of the medical that needs to be renewed before June !! Crossing my fingers I get in before that !! Good luck, and hopefully it’ll work out!!

So i would say that it confirms they put what was left of the 006 into 007 so as not to have 2 lists. Doesn't change the fact they let people sleep into those pools and they don't act on them, very unfortunate. :rage:
