Happy Friday, everyone!

Just curious, anybody with similar timeline to mine? Reason I ask is, I was told to renew my psych evaluation a few months back because it expires September 2019, and I was told to keep an eye out for a follow up email of some sort for the scheduling of the psych eval renewal. That email never came; I emailed recruitment to followup and I was told that I will receive a formal invite to OITP once a date has been set, with no statements about my psych eval at all. Obviously now, my psych eval is already expired, as I understand it only stays valid for one year.

Just wanted to see if anybody else is on the same boat. Goodluck to all applicants!!!

Your Psych results should be good for 2 years.

I believe the OITP is next for you, forget about that earlier email about psych renewal.

Thank you for responding! May I ask how you can be certain that it's two years valid? Because from their website it says, "Results are valid for two years if you are found unsuitable.". Don't get me wrong, I do hope it's valid for two years so then I don't have to worry about anything.

Thanks for your feedback!

Now you got me all nervous lol. I did mine in November of last year and I haven't received any notification about it expiring next month. I think its valid for 2 years but I'm also not 100 percent sure.

There was a discussion about this recently, and all people that emailed back to ask, confirmed they were told to ignore it, and confirmed the validity is 2 years for passed psych.

To be sure, if you like, email back to ask, but I would just wait for OITP if I was you.

Concerning psych validity period.
I believe in prior posts, other applicants had the same issue (in that recruiting contacted them about their psych expiring), and were unsure about the validity period of the psych.

Once they emailed recruiting about the psych validity period, it was confirmed that the psych is indeed valid for 2 years.

Of course, I'm going off of what was said in their posts.
Can someone confirm/deny ?

To all waiting good luck and hopefully I see some of you at Rigaud soon enough.

Thanks for all the replies with regards to the Psych Eval renewal.

I understand that we all are just "speculating" based off of other people's posts, however, it seems like the validity might actually be two years judging by the fact that mine already expired and I haven't heard anything from them and then was told in a followup email that I should be getting a formal invite once a date is set. I think with that, and along with the posts made by others about ignoring the email about psych renewal, it's safe to not stress about the psych renewal for now. I'm sure if CBSA recognizes one of our assessment results is about to expire, they will send instructions on how to renew it.

Again, thanks for all the responses!

I have a question for the people who are waiting for their security clearance,

It states that the security clearance process could take anywhere from 3 month to forever. Have you thought of what if it never come or 2-3 years? Do you keep on waiting or working on a plan B? I am currently in this process for almost 5 month, I keep asking myself this question. To be honest, CBSA is my first and only choice, however what if does not happen? Maybe I am just too negative now. The more time I am waiting for it, the worst it gets.
