Let's keep in contact folks.
Training tentatively scheduled for 2 classes of 15 officers each starting Jan 8th.
That's bang on with what I heard too. Sounds like we could see some movement on this soon. That's great news.

My guess is that hiring will actually be closer to March. A second round of interviews, HR scoring and background checks is simply too much with 2 weeks of holiday in between.

What I do know is a class date of January 8 has been set and instructors have been contacted to get their schedules figured out so it may be safe to bet on a January class with December hiring

I heard interviews were happening in Central region this week. Has anyone had an interview yet?

A friend of mine has their 2nd interview in London (West Region) on Oct 23.
Don't concern yourself with things you can't do anything about. Armchair generals don't win battles, but they do have nervous breakdowns.

Had my 2nd interview on Monday, taught it went well.... I guess if your reference calls you in November and said they were contacted you should feel because it means you past the interview. I was told references will be contacted in the month of November and offers may start going out as early as mid November to first week or mid December.

good luck everyone keep everyone posted on your progress through the hiring.

I also heard MTO will be getting new low profile vehicles, Chevy Tahoe and Dodge chargers as their new fleet of vehicles, as the old trucks are phased out.

This is correct. As far as I understand a good majority of the new vehicles will be clean roof. We still have a use for trucks and will continue to use and acquire them. All new trucks moving forward will likely continue to be the police spec Rams. No more Ford anything.

Had my second interview today. Sounds like interview calls are still going out. They plan on interviewing through to end of October so if you haven't had one yet don't get discouraged. Backgrounds will be happening through November and they are hoping that offer calls will be going out late December.
Familiarize yourselves with the regulations they provide in the interview package. Practice your answers out loud to make sure you can articulate your thoughts.
Best of luck gang. I hope to get a call and hope to meet all of you at basic.
