There are a lot of MTO courses held in St. Kitts; guarenteed a few Blueliners will be in town while you guys are in training. Hope you didn't just bite off more than you can chew! Hahaha.

I'm very surprised we haven't seen any posts from the new recruits about their first week on the job....
Don't concern yourself with things you can't do anything about. Armchair generals don't win battles, but they do have nervous breakdowns.

After attending the district meetings, they probably got scared off....or they figure "I'm in, no more blue line"....

Great first week here as well.. It started fairly slow, which is to be expected. It has been awesome watching the day to day operations at my location. I've done a lot of standing around feeling like I'm in the way or asking to many dumb questions, but thankfully all the officers have been absolutely gracious and patient showing us everything they are doing and explaining while they go. We have a district meeting coming up on Monday and I'm sure we'll learn a few things there as well.

Ditto to warden196's observations and experiences so far. The current staff, shift supervisor and manager were awesome in welcoming us probee's to the job and making it a comfortable first week looking forward to basic and being able to help out soon !!!!

This is my first time signing on since my start date. I was expecting to see more posts too but I guess everyone else has also been busy.

I dont have a computer where I'm currently staying.

I just bought a laptop today and will be posting more once basic training begins. So far so good. I've been at the scale since start date and have been shadowing different officers each day. Did a bit of area patrol yesterday but mostly at the scale. We have a great team and everyone has been very helpful.

I'm looking forward to getting first week of basic training over with as I already know it will be a lot of reading and memorizing. Should be good after that.

And yes by all means, any blue liners passing through are welcome to come and hang!

See you in St. Kitts

Very seldom is the word "awesome" used to describe the day-to-day operations at MTO scales, but I respect your enthusiasm.
