Nothing yet. But I did hear that people had until the 22nd to pass the PARE. So to me that would seem to indicate that the pool won't be made available to the individual branches until after that.
I did get confirmation that the first part of the training will take place at the APA in Sumerside PEI, followed by the RCMP Depot in Regina.
Hang in there.

Nothing definite yet. I've received an email requesting me to supply sizes for uniform items and I've filled out security clearance applications and I've been told that training will begin on Nov. 6 at the Atlantic Police Academy, but I haven't been told that I'm going yet. It's getting close! Anyone else heard anything?

Fantastic! Congratulations! I'm in the same boat you were previously, requested my uniform measurements, mailed me the hand grip machine. But still waiting to see if I am offered a position.

Another opening today for Fishery Officers. I wonder what the odds are of being posted in Burlington, Ontario? That's probably the only place I'd want to go...

Honestly, the likelihood is probably pretty slim.

Since there's no real office around here, the only real place I'd want to go to would be Kamloops, BC. It's only a few hours away and still has that nice hot sun and mildish winters. Nanaimo would probably be alright as well, but the likelihood of being the one selected to return to one of those particular places out of an entire recruit class is probably just as slim.

DFO's main office in Ontario is in Burlington. There just aren't many Fishery Officers in Ontario anymore - all they enforce is the fish habitat protection provisions of the Fisheries Act in Ontario.

Has anyone applied for this year? I saw they are looking to hire over 100 officers between 2018-2019.

I am still in the pool from last year so I wasn't required to re-apply - but still in the running.
