I also got the "no thank you, reapply in a year" letter from the OPP a week and a half after submitting my application. It might be because I'm just graduating from post-secondary in April, and have been volunteering for less than a year. I'm really hoping to get through to an interview with York Region, but if not I might have to work full-time for a while to gain more life experience.

Had a great ridealong last night with 2D. Went to a couple calls, did some traffic control at a MVC, traffic stops, etc. Got an offer to include the Sgt's name for a recommendation so I think I made a good first impression! :D

Just got the invitation to attend a BPQ and written essay session on April 11th. Anybody else get invited to this one?

I also got an invite. Not sure if everyone who applied got one or if it was screened.

I attended the PBQ about 3 weeks ago and recently got an email stating that I had passed. Waiting to see if I am moved forward to an interview.

Ya I got the "you passed the PBQ" email back in November, I keep sending them updates to strengthen my application and sadly I haven't heard from them. Good luck to you, hopefully you get a call soon.

So I went to the PBQ on April 11th and on April 21st I got an email saying I passed. Has anyone gotten an interview from the April 11th group?

I attended the PBQ way back in the beginning of March and received the "Passed" email about 2 weeks following that. Still have not heard back regarding an interview.

I was told that they are transitioning offices currently from one building to another and that they would not be processing any applicants during this transition.

Interesting. Did they say how long the transition would take? Also when did they tell you this? Thanks for the info!

Around a week. I've recently been contacted by one of their recruiters however and I have the LFI scheduled for next week.

Congrats on the interview. I passed the PBQ in April, and I'm also waiting on an interview. Since you did your PBQ in March, I'm assuming they're working their way through applicants and I'll have to wait a bit more.

Good luck to you man. I hope I get contacted for the interview by June. Seems like there just a little behind because of all the new hires and the fact that they changed building.

Still waiting for an interview after passing the PBQ in April. Anyone else in the same boat?

Sad to see this post inactive. FYI York is hiring quite a few officers for 2017 and 2018!!! Get your apps in!!! New training facility is a plus too! Biggest range I've seen yet.
