Good, I am curious to see what there generic email response will be

Keep on living your life like you have never applied.

I would even throw Opsue an email. Call them out like they have called out CSN.

Just got the offer for TEDC. Training starts Febuary 1st. 4 weeks online. 4 weeks in class paid training. Best of luck to the other recruits who have applied in April should be getting a call soon..

Yeah my timeline is very similar to yours. TEDC was my first choice and I am happy i got it since its close to home i dont have to travel too far.

Also did you receive an email stating success on security clearance? Or did they just call you with offer.

No they did not send me a email regarding my security clerance. I was suprised it was this quick as i only submitted my security documents at the end of september. He did not mentiom anything about a medical exam, he just stated that its the next couple of weeks he will email me more about the offer.

Congrats on the offer. You guys definitely lucked out with paid training (my class was not so lucky). Just out of curiosity, how much is the training rate? Do they pay for the entire 8 weeks?

Im not sure yet, about whether or not the whole thing will be paid. I would assume so, but paying for the online training aspect might be challenging unless its monitored or a online class room of sorts. They didnt mention a training rate, but stated the starting rate as of January 2021 is $28.69, plus 14% for vacation and benefits.

Did you ask what happens when CSN files for a union. Does the training get frozen as there wouldn’t be a contract ?

And if your doing training online. It should be paid as it is paid training now

Congrats hope others hear the offer too. I just checked to see when I applied, looks like around June,2020.

Will update this thread if I hear anything, applied to TEDC as 2nd choice

Choices were London, Toronto, Sarnia. I’ll probably end up choosing London.
