Curious if the new shift testing still involves the same number of platoons and shift hours?devilwoman wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 10:50 amFor PRU (peeps in cars) it's 7 on 5 off. Days and afternoons are 10s, nights are 8s. Days to afternoons to nights. Days start on Sat with last day on Fri. Afternoons on Thurs w/last day on Wed. Nights on Mon w/last day as Sun.
Other units like PRG, CRU, etc work 8 on 6 off. Days and afternoons only and all tens.
CIB works the old compressed.
Testing of 4 on 5 off 5 on 4 off is being done in outer divisions.
Okay, thanks for the reply. I was thinking it was March because the classes are always stated as being April, August and January.
No. The 11.5/12 hour shift rotation would result in one platoon being dismantled and its staff spread out amongst the other 4.Curious if the new shift testing still involves the same number of platoons and shift hours?
Shift hours would be very different and based on having the most amount of cars out during peak hours.
It's in testing phase right now, so it's not really something to be concerned about for at least a year. If TPS hires you, unless you get sent to the test division, you'll be on the compressed.
I have not received the call. I just finished with the background investigation. Have you?aspiringcop12 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 1:46 pm
No, not at this time. Still pending.prokes wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 2:17 pmI have not received the call. I just finished with the background investigation. Have you?aspiringcop12 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 1:46 pmGood point, it seems like I cannot find anything online. Have you received "the" call?
During my ECI examples had to be based on the last 2 years with the exception being valuing diversity, but during the LFI component I could draw back to the last 3 years.
I recently applied for Toronto Police Service and luckily I passed ECI/LFI interview, had my MMPI2 done, and in-person interview with a psychologist. However, I have not yet been contacted for my background check. If I am not contacted, does that mean I am deemed disqualified?
Does anyone have the similar situation? Thank you ahead for any ideas.

Jan 7, 2019 - PBQ/mentoring session

Feb 08, 2019 - In-person interview with a psychologist
Waiting for background check
