Just got another email saying the exact same thing again but now will be hearing further the week of August 14.

Opportunity

Alberta?s Court Security and Prisoner Transport are currently seeking new members for Law Court Sheriff positions throughout the province.

Responsibilities of the position include providing a secure and armed presence within Provincial Court Facilities, Government Centre?s, Legislative Buildings and other assigned locations. In addition, this position ensures the safety and security of all persons within the above assigned areas including the Judiciary, Government Employees and Officials, as well as members of the public.

Specific duties include:
-Escorting prisoners to and from various facilities
-Assisting with out of province prisoner escorts
-Screening persons entering courthouses
-Monitoring courtrooms and supervising prisoners attending court
-Supervising prisoners within holding cells ensuring care, custody, and control
-Providing security services for special events and conference
-Patrolling designated facilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. As a representative of the Alberta?s Sheriffs Branch, you must maintain a high standard of professionalism, reliability and be able to demonstrate sound judgment and problem solving when interacting with others.

Qualifications
A completed post-secondary diploma, degree, or journeyman certification in any field may be considered. Directly related security and/or law enforcement experience is. Equivalencies will be considered on the basis of one year directly related experience for one year of education.

Permanent full-time Law Court Sheriff opportunities currently exist in the following venues.
*NOTE: Filling regional vacancies across the province will take priority over the larger urban venues
Edmonton, Calgary, Wetaskiwin, Red Deer, St. Paul, Vermilion, Hinton, Drumheller, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Grande Prairie, High Prairie, Peace River, Fort McMurray, High Level.

Prerequisites:
You must submit your resume along with copies of the below documents at the time of online application in order to be considered for this opportunity, and will be asked to provide all original documents at the time of interview.

Successful completion of PARE Test (issued within three months of application submission) ? Please see below notes pertaining to PARE.
Driver's Abstract (issued within three months of application submission)
Valid Class 4 Driver's License (or equivalent license if applying from out-of-province)
Current Standard First Aid/ CPR - Level C, Adult, Child, Infant ? (must be active until May 2018)

The Recruitment Process:

I got an email awhile back stating I am being considered and will here
back by mid jan. I am nervous. I read previous posts and a few of you
said you got this email. Then eventually got the rejection email. Is there
anyone in the current process out there?
