Hi,

Has anyone currently received an invitation to CTP 2/3, and had to decline and then had a subsequent invitation?
I just finished ctp1 today. do u get an email confirming that you are done?
Congrats on finishing!
You should get an email in a week or two.
Where have you applied for?
I applied to the praises but never selected Edmonton as a choice and that was where the invite was for. I had to decide by today. The training would have been great, the move to Edmonton would be super challenging currently, so I had to decline it and hope I get another offer.

I finished CTP1 about a week and a 1/2 ago, got a confirmation email 4 days later. Didn’t say when CTP2 or CTP3 just that we can potentially expect an email regarding those things at a later date.

I applied to the prairies as my first choice but I am going to update my region of choice so I can include Grande Cache

I did.

I got selected for Prairies but I declined as I only put Pacific on my application. I got an email a few days later for Kent.

I’ve heard people have declined the first offer. I know the institution I selected doesn’t have seats booked for ctp 3 currently. So I’ll wait patiently + cross my fingers for a few months.

I do hope by declining someone else got exactly what they wanted though.👍🏻

Hey folks, I've been reading all of the CSC material on here with great interest. I've just applied for Agassiz, BC, and had a question I'm hoping someone might know the answer to. Can anyone tell me how many references they will ask for? That is, assuming I get that far! Just trying to plan ahead as much as possible...

Thanks in advance!
They ask for two work related references that have supervised you for atleast 4 months within the last 2 years.

I did. Abbotsford BC. on Nov 14th. Unfortunately I can’t make it. It’s 8 hrs away for me. Hopefully I’ll get another chance. If not I’ll wait for the next posting.

It could take a while. It took so long for me I forgot I even applied when they sent out the exam email. Three months, I think

Where do you live?
I did a test in Downtown Vancouver and then in CSC I cant remember what the building was in Abbotsford.
Not sure if they do it throughout the province. All the CSC Institutions are within an hour of each other aside from William Head.

I’m from Northern BC. The testing is taking place at the CSC staff college in Abbotsford.

Hello everyone.

I'm just looking for some insight and possible guidance/next step.

I've successfully completed my SJT test and am currently waiting for an email for an interview, but it's been close to 5 months. What is the standard time between these steps? I know the process is hurry up and wait but its becoming a concern.

Two questions:

1. Should I email ontariorecruitment for an update?
2. If I was removed from the process/not going to receive an interview, would I be notified?

Thank you!

For anyone interested in the Pacific Region, there is an open house at Kent in Agassiz, BC on November 26th. I am a CX1 at Kent currently and completed CTP back in July.
Is there somewhere you can register?
