Anyone recently had a follow up apt. with psych?
I had (2 months ago) and If I'm not mistaken, everyone has a follow-up appointment to go over different questions from your initial questionnaire.

Was it considered a stress test?

Whatever they ask - just make sure you are familiar with the mandate, the mission statement and CSC principals. you can get a bit of info here: https://www.csc-scc.gc.ca/text/pblct/sb-go/02-eng.shtml
@manuel4140, apologies. I forgot to say thank you for this link, it will help a lot!

Prairie Region just sent me an e-mail to determine my interest in different locations. I'm assuming that's a good sign.

I have a family so it's pretty tough to even try to think of where I want to uproot them to. Anyone have any insights on the best places in prairie region to take a family?

I got the same email Hockey. But I responded that in my interests along with references package I only said Pacific.

Fair enough. No point going somewhere you're going to be unhappy.

Hey guys, I'm just covering all the bases before the interview.

I was given an address but I'm not sure what building it is on google??

I am not going to post any address on here for whatever reasons. Can someone tell me if you're looking on google maps, is it the building/area called "Ontario Staff College" which I am heading to?

The address for "Ontario Staff College" is a couple numbers off from the address given to me via email, I'm assuming that's the one but with multiple buildings on the property.

Thank you.

It's the region of interest email they send out after references. Not sure why they do this as you pre-select your regions when you 1st apply online. RCMP and CBSA do the same..

And yes, it is tough when you have a family specially because your chances of getting in with CSC are greater when you are able to move around. I'm pacific only and when I was given the choice, I only picked Pacific as it's hard to pick up and leave everything..

Hello,

Quick question regarding CTP 2, I received my invitation for training (CTP 3) beginning in early April and I accepted earlier this week. Will I be receiving some sort of package from CSC recruiting for CTP 2? Or can I log onto the site where I completed CTP 1 and begin working on CTP 2?

Thanks!
When do you start CTP3??

I start April 9th and still haven’t received any package or email after I accepted my conditional offer. Hoping to get it soon cause I want to be able to go through it at a steady pace and not cram it all in two weeks
I am starting on April 9th too. Flying out of Edmonton a couple of days before, my bad for such a late reply. Hopefully you've received the package for CTP 2, I got mine early last week!

New - Bates GX-8 Boots size 12 wide

Postby GYCX » Tue Mar 19, 2019 11:33 am

Have a brand new pair of Bates GX-8 boots for sale. They are size 12 wide, water proof with CSA toe and side zip. Good for corrections/ LE applicants going to training or new on the job. Retail for $240, willing to let them go for $190 obo. Save some money. Will ship them if you pay for it as well. I prefer Salomon boots for work, but lots of guys wear the Bates and love them and side zip is awesome.

I’ve completed all that I could so far in regards to the CX1 application process.
Initial testing done
Interview done
References contacted
Fingerprints done
Security screening done
Pre-Medical done
CTP1 with formal test done
Psych written and follow up interview done

My biggest concern is that in my initial application I put in that I only wanted Atlantic region. After reviewing most threads through this forum it seems to be that CSC is only hiring for the Prairies region. Not sure if anyone could shed some light on this. I have tried to google and reviewed many many years of threads but unfortunately cannot see any clear answers for if CSC does have new recruits for Atlantic region. Also I speak a little French but not fully bilingual. Thanks
