Does anyone have any ideas on timelines after interview. My interview was Sept 30 and references where sent the same day, no contact after this. I’ve been contacted for B.C corrections but I’m holding out for Federal.

Any info would be appreciated.
You won’t hear anything back immediately. My interview was the end of July, references were complete in Aug. I received information mid Sept for Medical, fingerprinting etc, and then began CTP1.
Now once again waiting. Which could be another 2-3months minimum, depending on regional need and the top down selection.

It’s a double edged sword waiting, when other CPO positions are popping up and you don’t take them, plus you might not even make it through CSC process. Then have the waiting period.
Something to consider.

I feel your pain.

JACX is right, you still have many steps to go through after the interview.

I didn't pass CTP 3, I only got 2 months in before my strikes. But CTP 3 is a hell of a lotta fun. But extremely eye opening because of one video you'll watch called 'blood in the cells'

If you have anyone has questions, feel free to PM. I'm no help in Shotguns, 40mm, spray, but I will help out applicants to CSC as best as I can. I was in Kingston for training.
As someone who failed CTP, should you really be offering advice on CSC, training etc?
Hey BCFella
Relax. He is probably the most recent person on this forum to go through the entire recruitment process, and go to Kingston.
By your logic, you shouldn’t be making any comments about the Atlantic region, or any advice for trying to get into CSC for the last 8 or 9 years.
This isn’t a pissing match. Or anything.
This is for applicants to get advice.
Everyone should be taking all advice from the internet with a grain of salt.
Be nice. This shouldn’t need to be said.

I was told that they consider your interview and your references and then give you an overall grade. I took that to mean that you could do well at interview and then fail the process due to inadequate references.
References is the killing point for me. I did my interview back in July. The criteria of a supervisor for a minimum of 4 months inside the last 2 years was a struggle. In the end, recruiting accepted a reference from outside the last 2 years.

It’s usually pretty common to wait up to 4-6 weeks for results. I personally got mine back within 2 days but I had a chance to write it though my college. However if you are super concerned about it, give it till after the 6 week mark and email. The recruitment team is human, they forget sometimes and things happen.

Hi Mel, that seems normal to me. I just received a paper copy of my medical assessment from Health Canada in the mail.

Hey!
I am currently in the middle of CTP1 (about 1.5 weeks left) and just got my email for medical assessment. You've completed everything and currently waiting for CTP2?

I got my SJT back after a week. I wrote it in late July and heard back exactly a week after in August.
