Hi again guys and gals,

I had received my email stating I passed my written WCPT-351 and SJT testing on Feb.11th.

I was scrolling through some of people’s progression and noticed they were interviewed relatively quickly after receiving their test scores. Is it normal for me to not have been contacted yet for an interview?

Thank you for you input you can provide.

S.

Hurry up and wait is a phrase you will hear a lot.
I did my interview relatively quick after my test and then really quickly they progressed to references. So now I am waiting for the next step, or the no :P

Did you finish CPT1 and Medical yet? And regarding your previous comment - I chose Pacific too. Sort of the same excuse - Owning a home, my wife working full time in her career and my kids family life here. Let's just hope things move quick for the two of us.

I was invited for an interview 2 months after my results. As bad as it sounds - we are all waiting and this is a waiting game :? You may read from page to page a lot of people often say "just let the system run its course" and it sure sucks.. but, on a positive note - congratulations on passing the exams. I hope your interview comes faster than you expect

Thank you for the kind words and reply!

I have heard of the phrase “hurry up and wait” a lot lmao.

EDIT: I forgot to ask those who were successful in the interviews. What should I expect? I recall a buddy of mine telling me it was a panel of interviewers and they asked situational questions.

Hey there,

Congrats on passing the tests! Any advice for someone who will be taking them in March 2019? I've failed them already and don't want to do that again! Hoping there's practice questions (aside from the couple on the CSC site), or someone that can help!

Thanks,

Well, I used PolicePrep website to study the two tests. Thing is, people have to pay for use on the website.

Whatever they ask - just make sure you are familiar with the mandate, the mission statement and CSC principals. you can get a bit of info here: https://www.csc-scc.gc.ca/text/pblct/sb-go/02-eng.shtml

Had my interview last week and they got in touch with my references within a couple hours. They told me they loved my answers and that they were not normal... whatever that means. Onwards and upwards!

I haven't done either. I just got an email indicting that my references packages had been received (I asked on the due date). I didn't want any delays so I wanted to ensure they were sent ok.

For the person who failed the tests.. Really read those questions carefully, put yourself in the scenario and then answer. I failed the first time too just the SJT (by 3 questions argh!!!), after someone said go with your gut on the answers.. Try it the other way :)
And do not run out of time.

When I took out my DL, they saw the Emergency Response sticker and I guess that helped.. I was very nervous in my interview, and also sick. But similar to Hockey Guy, they got to my references ASAP.

Good luck everyone!

PEI has the Atlantic Police Academy and an established Correctional Officers training program. Meaning, it has all the resources needed to train the recruits with little money needed to be invested, not like Regina where millions were invested, new buildings built and were told to vacate.

I hoping to get invited this week considering I just finished the very last requirement b4 training.

Mind me asking - after finishing CTP1 and finishing medical, fingerprints, and psychological, when did you get your CPT3 invite? was it fairly quick after the very last thing you did?

Were you open to all regions or just one in particular? I selected Pacific only..
