What firearms are used at CTP 3 training ?

Also, is it true that Corrections Canada uses the 40mm launcher ?

Pacific Region
Completed online questionnaire

Still waiting, I haven't heard anything since.. I have a few friends that work in CSC and they said that PEI is accepting half the recruits it normally does because of Covid and Ontario still is not open. Apparently all the centres are super under staffed and people are working crazy overtime.. They need new people which is awesome for all of us applying but the process is so slow... Apparently they are not doing written tests in person yet that's what the hold up is... They are working on a online test for applicants and are not expected to have this test ready for applicants till early 2021. :cuss:

I wish they would go back to each region having their own training facility they would be able to hire faster and would solve all these issues with having to leave your families ex...

Hang in there everyone I know when my email dings I open it fast as I can LOL

They won't inform you if you've passed, it'll just be the next step of the process.

I was in limbo for three months without knowing, but the rule of thumb is no news is good news.

Multiple people that were assessed the same week as myself had reviewed negative results within two weeks.

Hello,

I also was provided a potential training start date Nov 18th to Feb 18, 2021. This is providing no more Covid shut downs. Self iso starts Nov 2-16th; fly out 16th. What area did you apply for? (Curious since you mention training in Abbotsford) I was also informed if Nov start cannot happen then they’re looking at Jan or Feb start date.

Do the CXs and PWs go to core together and do same classes? With the difference beginning with the on the job training?

just taking a look at your tineline for your process, its incredibly quick.

How long did it take for you to hear back and or move on from your security questionnaire ?

When I was in CTP 3.. Yes. PW's and CX did pretty much everything together. But when we were on the firearms, the PW's did a different class as there are no firearms as a PW.
I think there are a few more different classes in a CX/PW mixed group but I cannot confirm.
