Applying to Correctional Service Canada
Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
Within 5 business days if you failed the interview portion. If you fail the reference portion it can take a while. No news is good news.

Wondering those who got offers and start CTP3 in Kingston in January. Where are you being posted?

It was about 2 weeks after

About 8 months. I did however apply before the Ontario region had opened up. I was applying for Atlantic only. I had all requirements fulfilled by March of 2019.

I would PM Hockeyguy, he's kind of around here but he was part of the very first class in PEI. He can tell you the accommodations.jenn.mon wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 2:54 pmReceived an invitation to attend CTP 3 in PEI starting Jan. 21st for Primary Worker position. Just wondering if anyone else has gotten their conditional offer yet and if you will be attending CTP.
Also, anyone who has gone to PEI for training- what are the accommodations like? I attended CTP in Regina in 2014 and want to know what to expect in comparison

Out of curiosity... does anyone know how long we are on probation after getting hired? Does it start during cpt3 training or after?

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
I have passed the direct entry CX2/Primary worker interview and reference check as of today.
Few questions:
1. Does the CX2/Primary worker direct entry skip the online component for CTP? I heard someone talking about it during the exam.
2. When do they send the screening questionnaire for ERC?

For anybody who has been through the CTP and passed/failed, what are the top 3 reasons someone might fail this?
Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
I'm essentially curious as to the likelihood of me being loaded onto CTP2/3. I have completed all requirements (CTP1, first aid, and the medical) except the psychological evaluation. I was provided appointments for approx. 4 weeks ago but I could not attend due to a family vacation (I provided documentation). When I spoke to the psychologist today, they said they won't be booking until January.
Has anyone received a letter of offer, shortly after completing the psych. evaluation? My concern is that I possibly missed the next core(s) that will be ran in Kingston, due to me having to reschedule my evaluation.
Thank you for your input, I genuinely appreciate it.

I received my invitation to CTP 2/3 approximately 1’month after psych. It was for PEI in Jan.
I wish there was a way of knowing when the sessions are so we could plan. So far I only know about the 2 sessions in PEI starting in Jan.

I’ve never heard of that? How does a person get direct entry? I thought everyone follows the same process.singhm wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2019 3:29 pmI have passed the direct entry CX2/Primary worker interview and reference check as of today.

What does the acronym ERC stand for? I’m not clear on which questionnaire you are referring to. We only submitted the one with our initial application.

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
Hello,
I have completed all the stages for CX1 competition....just waiting on CTP 2/3. I am going to be writing the tests for the CX2/Primary Worker in the next couple of weeks. My question is does anyone know if I pass the tests for the CX2/PW will CSC use all my information from the CX1 competition or will I have to do everything again (interview, fingerprinting, etc)?
Thanks for any information.

Re: Applying to Correctional Service Canada
If you have completed all the steps prior to CTP2/3, you shouldn’t have to re-write the tests. And if you made it through psych, that is good for 1 year.Bryan68 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2019 10:55 pmHello,
