To be perfectly honest, all of CTP1 is fascinating, gives you a look at what you may encounter on the job. There are some areas that do drag on imo but you gotta push through it :)
I enjoyed CTP 1 and occasionally I go back to re-read some of the areas that I had difficulty with. I am so excited to start CTP 2 (hopefully)
I’m not the only one who thoroughly enjoyed CTP 1? That’s refreshing to hear. I loved it and enjoyed learning about all of different aspects of the job. I am in the same boat as everyone else, busy working and family life, but as you said, if you just hunker down and plug away at it, it’s done before you know it!

Cheers!

A friend and former coworker will be one of your instructors on CTP in PEI.
Great guy, very knowledgeable and is very passionate about teaching new recruits.
If you are a hockey fan you will be best buds with him. lol
One from my joint as well and same thing

Interested to know what institutions people have been offered.
I was offered Edmonton but I specifically chose Pacific when I initially applied due to SAR, house, family, etc. If I get my letter, I'm pretty sure it's going to say Kent on it.
I did the open house, it looks like a great place to start the career. All the officers were pretty easy to talk to, at least the ones I encountered.
You turned down CTP?
I turned down Edmonton while I was working at CTP. I very politely and professionally (as I didn't want to be taken out of competition) advised that there may have been a mistake regarding regions of interest as I specifically chose Pacific only. They were super nice about it and I continued on to Pacific..

I just got my Solicit of Interest, if all goes well PEI June 13 with Kent as my institution.
Under a month to do CTP 2 and I haven't received the go ahead to start CTP2. Thank god for laptops!

*edit*
Not conditional offer, solicit of interest.

If it makes you feel better, I found CTP 2 to be less time consuming than CTP 1 as far as assignments were concerned. It’ll feel like a lot at first because the first module has a lot of info (similar to CTP 1) and then the rest of the modules are quite quick! :) my advice is to take notes as you go so you have them ready to study as soon as you’re done.

June 11th Kingston Ontario, confirmed by NHQ.

For those who have been in CTP 3 in Kingston. What should I bring?
What are accommodations like?

Wife is heading to PEI on June 13th. I'm planning on flying out to visit a couple times while shes there. When I went to core in regina, there was a car rental agency and hotel nearby that offered discounted rates to cadets. Is anybody aware of the same type situation near the Atlantic Police Academy?

Flying out from the west coast is gonna be pricey so looking to save some money however possible.

Thx
