I wonder if the 35 new positions for EPS by the province is independent on the budget/promise by Edmonton City Hall.
For sure better than no positions at all.

I am pretty sure that money is totally independent because its from the province. Don't think this is going to magically open up an extra class at EPS. I think EPS has known about this provincial money for sometime. Likely it will be used for the class this fall if it happens.
I could be totally wrong. That is just my best guess about it.

Well it's all over for block 1! No crying there for sure!!!!
We were immediately kicked out of the training facility and went to our divisions.
On to the next block of training.

Yes...the news from the Edmonton Sun is very old news, and jframer is right, it will be used for the next RTC.
Just in case you are an international applicant and viewing this, our international recruiting initiative has been frozen indefinitely. The best option for an international applicant is for them to submit a detailed resume to us and they will be contacted should the need for international applicants arise in the future.

Wow, sure is great to see my fellow UK pals make it in, just in time!
Re: Edmonton Police Service Recruiting
The suspension of the international program simply means that we won't be nominating anyone for permanent residency through immigration Canada.
This doesn't stop anyone from obtaining permanent residency via the normal route and then applying.
