I wonder who I am going to meet from this forum in real life, if I ever get accepted. It's gonna be really interesting! And, If they do give me the honor to become a mountie, I seriously, and I mean it.. I would like to have Mr. Broccolo to put my badge on ! 😁 I know he never liked me when I first joined this forum, and neither did I lol. But after few months on this forum, I feel that man deserves my respect for the years he spent serving this country. MR.Broccolo here is a toast 🍻 for some positive things to happen after this covid thing.
Its great to be enthusiastic but I would set realistic expectations.
True that wingman. But who knows eh ? Tell me about your summer are you still working on that cardio while waiting for the poly call ? Nothing here yet

Pho fo sho, gives us some insights about how the drill and the one on one trainings are performed ? Is there actual physical contact on martial arts classes and self defense ?
Unfortunately, drill has been dumbed down. We only had 1 drill class so far and it was about marching. It's back to the basics. We can't do anymore fancy manoeuvres like we did pre-COVID. In addition, we don't have a pass out due to the risk of proximity.

PDT is almost the same, but we're assigned partners in relays so we limit out contact and exposure. Facilitators are not allowed to touch us, which sucks because it's a great learning experience when they show is first hand.

Man, you guys are Marvel Heroes to go through all this. I know it's not a good of an experience to have your training during these times, but im happy to see troops going back to continue their journey. Stay strong all of you, and fingers crossed for the rest of us, waiting for the resuming of the app process.

We continued at a good week. It was a good transition from TOs inspection and we found out which divisions were open earlier this week. Some people were happy with what was available.

Right on ! I heard some cadets turned down their offer to return to depot after pandemic. Is this a hearsay ? Can you confirm please

I heard of some cadets didn't come back as well. Lots of reasons why they did what they had to do. But at Depot you just need to focus on yourself and not others.

That's right, glad to see you connected to the internet as well, seems like they are providing you with all the necessities including wifi.

Facilitators are not allowed to touch us,
Not actually true, they are allowed to go hands on with you, however most choose not to, or severely limit contact for obvious reasons.

Got my monthly email today saying that my app still active and to remain patient. Those emails started to feel like pay stubs. You get excited whe you receive them, and then get disappointed when you read them.

There's no pass out, but the badge ceremony is still on if that's what you mean?

I mean, our actual ceremony will be livestreamed to our family, which is nice. But there are some major components that are missing, unfortunately.
