Mosquitoes...

Sale of 1-10 in Regina from August until winter.. I got a no fly mosquito zone jacket(Marks work warehouse) and it has worked pretty well! I am seeing if I should buy the shorts too for an added boost.

Scale for how bad they are below:
South Van island 1.5
Langley/Surrey 1
Calgary 3
Winnipeg 6
Yellowknife (last week) 4

Cheers!

I would like to avoid a layer of deet on me this summer after training hours.

Thanks!
Run faster and they won't be a problem.
I run during training hours, no problem. But what about drill, and standing still until the drill instructor stands infront of me waiting to blink to yell at me. I could be eaten alive depending on that scale for Regina.

Never got bit once. Bugs are the least of your worries while you are there.

I’m here now and I have to agree with Mike, our troop hasn’t had any issues. I got eaten alive one night because it had rained and I happened to be out. After hours you can wear what you’d like but during drill you’re inside the hall and if you’re at parade or forming up you are wearing issued kit. They provide you with bug spray, but honestly, I wouldn’t put much more thought into it. You’re too busy from sun up till sun down to notice or even think about it.

I am an immigrant who is a citizen and had been in Canada for over 10 years. In the selection package, there were some documents I can not provide. Some of my documents needed to be translated by an authorized translator(so you get that authorized stamp or signature from the translator). Just talk to your recruiter, you will know what you need to provide.

Anothee friend of mine is PR, he got deferred for three years when he applied in 2015. He was asked to provide a criminal record from China, which had to be done by notary public.

Yes, you have to provide them all the necessary documents like police clearance, university records, bank records and even your previous record of employment.

Did anyone received a mail from rcmp via epost to submit application again because they are changing the system. So everyone who were in old system would be in the new system and the process should be faster since they will be treated in priority? Also, you will be at the same place you were in the process. I want to know who submitted application again after receiving the mail, anyone?

You won't be wearing clothing you bought from Mark's at this point, so its a moot point.

Hi there,

just wanted to chime in and reassure everyone. This letter was only sent to applicants who have they're application on the "old system". If you did not get this letter it means you when you applied, your application is/was added to the new Applicant Tracking System (ATS). The advantage to the ATS system is that we are much more responsive and efficient in communication and processing. So if you got this letter please follow the instructions. Your application is put to the exact same spot and you don't lose any processing time.

Imran
