Quick question for those currently in Training or those who have gone through already. What kind of sports and leisure facilities are there at Depot? (Soccer Field, Rec Center, Pool Tables, ect.)

Thanks!

Gyms with indoor hocket stuff, there is a pool table at the cadet bar, IIRC, you can get into the bar any time, but it only serves alcohol at certain points. They had a pool table, fusball, PS3/Xbox I think

The Stand Easy Mess has a pool table, foosball and gaming consoles (PlayStation and XBox, although I'm not sure what generation).

For outdoor sports there is a soccer field and track, a baseball diamond, beach volleyball courts, an outdoor rink, outdoor fitness equipment/obstacle courses and half-court basketball.

The Fitness Centre has all the equipment you'll need for badminton, basketball, volleyball and the like.

The pool is open after hours, but you'll need a swim partner.

During the summer, cadets can sign out bikes. The city has a network of running/cycling paths right next to the Academy. Those will take you all over Regina.

Oh wow...I would edit the post and use the search function. There’s countless pages with a lot of info regarding process. Or feel the wrath of Pete :P

As for women keeping up, you make it sound like they’re at a disadvantage? Women are tough too and that stigma should be dropped.

When you did your invariable google search that brought you here did you perchance skip past what was very likely among the very first links that would have come up?

http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/en/how-to-apply

As for how long each step takes, there is no set answer, each person's will be different.

There are females graduating from training in pretty much every troop, so by all accounts they seem to be holding up just fine.
When people get too chummy with me, I like to call them by the wrong name to let them know I don’t really care about them.

After a 9 month deferral, I have finally booked my vision and hearing tests again in order to have them ready for my re-application date on April 1st.

You seem to be in the process for both the RCMP and CBSA; both Agencies will require you to do a LOT of study and research, both on your own, and in collaboration with your Troopmates or classmates. While you can say that asking such questions as above here is that sort of research, what you REALLY need to do, as Suikoden (another RCMP applicant) and VanSmack (a very experienced RCMP Regular Member (Police Officer)) have pointed out, is read this thread, the Ask An RCMP Recruiter thread, and the Ask An Ontario RCMP Recruiter thread, THOROUGHLY and CAREFULLY.

Further, you ask a few times in other posts to contact people directly, yet this forum is quite clearly marked with how to do so. Every forum members post shows their username, with a boldened "Contact ..." in the left margin. There are one, or more, bars at the top right of each post that you can touch with your cursor and when you do it will tell you what it means, particularly to "quote" a post.

However, if you are trying to contact me, VanSmack, Ont. RCMP Recruiter, Depot Web, or, if desperate, Dave Brown, directly, and unsolicited by any of us, to ask us for such information, or to give you our opinion of your application, you will NOT get an answer, and your private message will be posted to this thread for everyone to see, or at least if you send it to me.

All of the above is being stated because this forum is 30 years young, and is full of multiple versions, and variations, of your questions, so by asking you indicate a failure to have read the forums fully. To do so is a LOT of work, yet FAR less than what either the RCMP, CBSA, or any other Law Enforcement Agency, will expect of its trainees once they get into their programs.

The RCMP website provides a LOT of information about the Force, particularly Training. On top of that, Blue Line magazine is VERY generous in its offer of this forum to further such discussions, so use both wisely, and often.
