Just wondering if you guys have your immunization for Hepatitis B series. I just read somewhere if you don't have them, you will be deferred. If anyone who got to the medical stage that can provide some insight, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.
You need to get MMR (1st shot at first visit and 2nd shot 1 month after 1st visit)
HB- 1st shot at first visit, 2nd shot 1month after 1st visit, 3rd shot 6 months after 1st visit
HA - 1st shot at first visit, 2nd shot 6 months after 1st visit,
Tetanus or Tdap - only 1 shot at first visit.

Yes when you go for your medical they do bloodwork to check your levels of antibodies for the various required vaccinations. It is easy enough to either check with your family doctor for their records or get them to check your blood and top up whatever needs to be topped up before you go for your medical. My levels were fine, but I would imagine they would give you the opportunity to get all your required vaccinations first before just automatically deferring you? Not sure thought.

Are you positive of this? I don’t recall seeing ASN selected on my blood work requisition... ASN is the abbreviation used for antibody screening (titer test). I was asked to provided copies of immunization records.

Maybe different province to province.

Like I said, ''not sure though"... from my experience... I did not provide immunization records they did a blood test, the DR looked and told me my HEP B levels were still good and asked a couple questions about my MMR.. I am sure it varies on the medical center used for the medical.

Crazy all the differences from one applicant to the next; but I guess it does make sense with healthcare being provincial.

I’m just happy to be done with the waiting game, time for the real test to start in 2 weeks!

From what I remember of Dundurn, SK the cold is very similar to that of Alberta. Windy and dry; yes it’s cold, yes it sucks. Dress for it and you’ll actually find it tolerable. Where as BC cold is very wet, and you can’t escape it no matter what you do

Agreed! After years in the CAF in both the Prairies and BC, i'll happily take a nice dry cold you can dress for instead of a wet, damp cold that sneaks inside your clothes for the rest of the day.
