Hello everyone, first time poster here.

Going Into the polygraph in a few days and am honestly psyching my self out a bit. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just looking to get in contact with anyone going to depot for troop 12 in February
Don't do it.

Meet them there.
Or do it...

I could totally pretend to be in that troop and learn all sorts of interesting tidbits about you beyond what you've already posted on the internet.
Don't call it a comeback...

That reminds me the CBSA Chit chat thread where many were enthusiastically asking to be included in a private WhatsApp group of "applicants".

Here’s the dealio my friend.
Fellow CX turned RM here.
Hey there, out of curiosity... do you know anything about allowance over Depot being influenced by being a CX? I've heard different things, that no, you get allowance and that's it, that you can get a Leave with pay for educational purposes but it must be authorized at warden's discretion, and finally that the RCMP can/will cover your salary. I'm not expecting anything beyond allowance, but just curious as it's been a topic of debate around here. Forgive me if this has been answered before but CSC and CX are not valid search terms here so it makes it hard to search.

Rcmp will not cover our salary while we are there. If your institution allows you to use your paid leave for however long until it runs out (then go to lwop) you cannot collect the allowance. You must notify depot that you are still on paid leave and inform them of when that will run out. You can not be paid by two federal organizations at the same time. There is the one time special leave, both one year and 3 months, accessible in our collective agreement and I haven't seen any change to that in the ratified agreement. In order to carry your current rate of pay over, you cannot have a break in service (so any combination of unpaid and paid leave has to last the duration of training until you are fully signed on - grad). Our cmsd is well versed in all of this so he has the conversation with how you want to take leave in order to ensure you don't have the break, and will provide the letter.

I am also waiting 🙄. I’m pretty sure Ottawa is very backed up as I know one of my friends has also been waiting for their security clearance since Nov 2020.

Did they tell you you moved on to security after the medical? I'm in K div as well and received my medical in November but I never was told I was on security. I sent in my fingerprints back in September

Email your FC. She/he knows. Could be stuck in Final review. Sometimes they don't even tell you.

I did not get told I was in security clearance, but i know I am because of having to track down my finger prints I sent back in April 2020. Sometimes they will tell you but not always.

If it makes anyone feel better I have been waiting not too long just since August of 2019. Cheers to our waiting and patience 😂

Cleared my medical and psych in February 2020. Did not get Security clearance until January 5, 2021. Sit back, relax, keep fit. This can be a long part of the process.

Hi everyone !

My medical and psych were cleared in October 2020- and am just waiting on my security clearance now (yay finally the last step!)

How long did you wait (I know it does vary per person) for your clearance to go through and you received your troop offer ?

Thank you!
