Make an Access to Information or Personal Information Request through the federal government. Just google that term to get started. It is a pretty easy and free service to use. Although it may take 2-3 months to get your results.

Good luck, sorry about your deferral. There's tons of other opportunities out there, many people get deferred by the RCMP and are picked up by muni agencies.
I HIGHLY SUGGEST paying FULL attention to Ont. RCMP Recruiter and NONE WHATSOVER to Tornelco.
I agree with Pete.

Not all deferrals are bad.

Maybe it was about you didn’t have enough life skills or experience in the real world.

People always think of deferrals being bad. They might, or might not be.
I’ve been deferred several times by the RCMP. In hindsight, I was never ready to be a Police officer, I took the kicks to the gut and didn’t give up and continued to improve myself to be the absolute best candidate I can be. Along the way I became the best version of my self, served my country proudly and endured some extremely tough times along the way, I seriously improved myself and was finally confident and ready to serve in the full capacity this job requires.

This is just my opinion, but it was made clear to me when along the way in my interviews with the RCMP I was repeatedly told by NCO’s that they have seen great improvements on my end over the last few years when they compare my previous applications to my current and on-going one, they even shared notes added to my file by previous NCO’s reviewing my file (I’ve been applying over the last 8 years) so I am extremely happy to see how far I have come.

Now I am waiting for my final security clearance (9 months just waiting for clearance alone) maybe I will get it, maybe I won’t, but it’s all that is left for me now.

All I am certain of is that perseverance pays off, take the kick to the gut and just improve yourself, it’s the same song you’ll hear being sung when it comes to being deferred.

Can someone clarify the next steps after submitting the Selection Package and the additional information requested by the recruiting analyst. Do I go straight into pre-employment polygraph or is there something before this step. I emailed but did not get a response.

Cheers.

You'll do the RMAQ interview and then the Right Fit Interview before the PEP.

If I speak fluent Mandarin, will I get a better chance of being posted to lower BC?

You'd think so. But then you'd be getting your hopes up before getting posted to central Saskatchewan. Not that it happened to a troopmate or anything....
