Congrats to you too Wood! Now I'm really getting worried about my PEP REC, I'm wondering if it is because you both are from the east and I'm in the praires of Manitoba? Is it just slower here in Manitoba, cause Alberta applicants are just flying through the process.

Junk I did message my FC and all she said was it was with a NCO right now and if I am recommended I will be notified. That doesn't help me right now, pushing close 12 weeks soon...... anyone having the same issue as me at the moment? It's actually killing me everyday I get left in the dark........ :banghead:

The waiting isn't fun, that's for sure. Buddy of mine (from NS as well) did his poly last August and didn't get his recommendation until December (like 19 weeks or something). Just have to keep grinding until you get that email!

Godness that's a long time. Are you during those 3.5 hours connected to polygraph? There were some posts that say that polygraph is only like 20 min and some posts say its 3 hours.
Maybe if examiner likes you it takes 20 min only :)

The interview is 3 to 3.5 even 5 hours sometimes but you are only hooked 15-20 min to the machine. However, it's only a tool and they sure doesn't need that to know you are lying.

The length really depends on how much you've disclosed (and/or added) on your RMAQ. I was hooked up to the machine itself for 15-25 mins I'd say. Prepare for 3-5 hours in my opinion.

Hey Wood,

Thanks, I have a really good feeling I'll be getting that recommendation by end of this week or even early next week. I messaged my FC and she said it is with a NCO right now being reviewed. So fingers crossed, just really want to get my BGI and MED started. And yeah it really is individually based on the timelines, it's like a fingerprint, no 2 are exactly the same hahaha.

stribor45,

Mine was 5.5 hours, and I was hooked up the polygraph machine 3 times of a total of 45-60 minutes. It was brutal cause I was 100% honest, I fully disclosed everything, didn't withhold any information, I even told the examiner things that made him laugh and said I was too honest and that everyone does those things, and that it is acceptable in society.

Wow! 3 times for almost an hour! Mine was only about 15-20 min. It's stressful enough let alone having to do it 3 times! If you where 100% honest no worries then, hopefully you'll get that email this week or next! Probably just back up a little.

Yeah, not worried about passing the PEP I came out knowing I passed, just the wait didn't except it to be this long, most applicants are from 4 weeks - 8 weeks. Nice to know if I get my PEP REC in a few days that you me and Junk might be in the same troop!

I think your email will come soon. hopefully sooner than later so you don't end up going crazy waiting.....lol 88) It does seem that we would have a great chance of finishing up around the same time if everything works out well. It would be nice to go with people you have gotten to know a little just from using this forum.
