I think its because you did your PARE already. Do you think they will decline me for not taking it first?
It just wasn't mentioned when I went to my career presentation. She just said the Eye test and hearing test. Then I looked at the RCMP applicant site on Facebook and it says that you have to do PARE before you apply online. So I was like oh-ow haha.

You no longer have to do the PARE before you apply. I did it during a time where it was required. I'm sure you will be fine but you'll have to be patient.

Can someone verify if it's true that applicants no longer need to have the PARE completed to be accepted into Depot? Also that one of the interviews has been abolished from the process too. If not then I can delete this message.

I'm not an applicant but am just genuinely curious that's all.

Hey everyone,

To all the new applicants that are going through the newly introduced ePost application process, were you asked to complete a few forms on OLISS?

I had the exact same thought when I heard that! A friend informed me after participating in an RCMP information session in Ontario this week.

I got a text from a member that things got changed.

Apparently, the only PARE that needs to be passed is the 3rd at depot.
And that the RMSI and Poly are happeig same day.
... For the Grammar Police, get off my back, I wasn't born here.

I also heard from both a recently retired RM and a current RM of the rumor that they plan to eliminate the the interview and postpone the PARE until Depot.

That will make for a very long day. I also had to go to completely different locations for my RMSI and poly. Interesting to see how much the process has morphed even over the last 6 months!

Yikes! Delaying the PARE until depot would mean some applicants being in terrible shape.
Right now, the PARE is near the middle of the process (not needed to apply, but needed after the RMSI and well before bg check and Depot offer).

I like that the RMSI and Poly are same day, should help expedite the process.

What about the folks that don't pass the RMSI? Now that poly appointment will be left unused. That doesn't seem terribly efficient...

I agree that delaying the PARE til the end will definitely catch some applicants off guard!

It changes every week or so. I would like that rumor to be confirmed.

I've been waiting close 2 months for my RMSI so my turn is around the corner. I could be among the first on the board to try that format if it's true.
