Does anyone know of any places in Alberta that offer PARE practice runs/workshops?

So I just had to share that I had my RMSI this morning and passed! It feels like a giant weight has been lifted from my shoulders! I don't think it has fully sunk in yet. Now onto the PARE next Friday! After the RMSI the PARE doesn't feel daunting at all, in fact I feel like I'm looking forward to it with new found confidence and determination!

To all of you who are preparing for the RMSI, all I can say is, prepare using the prep guide, go through your examples with a friend, get comfortable speaking about them, and relax! It's a long interview, but mine ended up being very natural and I felt I had plenty of time to organize my thoughts before answering the questions. Just be honest, be yourself and try to enjoy it!

I built my own course, with sticks and wood for pylons and did high knees for the stairs. Maybe this will help? Hope so!

Even Depot Web will not be able to give you an absolute number, but 600ish would be close.

wow, troop numbers are almost 1/2 of 2015, hope there will be funding for more officers to be hired.

Seems as though the calender year starts on month April, so there presumably should still be the high number of cadets going to Depot in the 2015 budget up until end of March or so.

Hi all was wondering if anyone can give me an answer or some peace of mind regarding placement after depot. (Forgive me if I am posting in the wrong area I am a first time user!)
My spouse is nearing the end of the application process and I am worried about potential placements due to my line of work.
I am in a combined MD/PHD program so I will only be able to work in proximity to a major canadian university. What are the chances the rcmp will accomodate to this? Have any of you heard of any former applicant in the same position?
does it help my spouse at all that he has a degree in criminology and psychology as well?

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks :)

That was a HIGHLY uneducated guest. Total numbers have, do and will continue to change overnight. Knowing last year's actual and this year's projected gives you the approximate circumference of the lunar calendar for the Plutonium high school system's badminton try-outs...in other words, no help to anyone's concerns as to when they get into the RCMP, if ever!

Well after 9 months and a few days from start to finish I received my call today for Troop 26. I was awaiting Security Clearance for just over a month. Which seemed like an eternity. The whole process was fairly quick and my file coordinators were great. Thanks to everyone on the forum for answering my PM's and the help and info along the way. I wish everyone best of luck throughout the process. Cheers!
