No you won't be his big brother troop unless you are Troop 20. There is a 2 Troop gap between big/lil brother troops. e.g Troop 1 will be big bros to Troop 4

Congrats all. I did my RMAQ a week ago, now waiting for further instructions on RMSI and PARE. what is the average wait time? also can a file be concluded at RMAQ stage? 2 days ago, i visited the RCMP website and noticed that the hiring process has slightly changed....no more RMAQ? anyone know more about this?

People have their timelines posted (if that is of any help as it has been said on numerous occasions that everyone's timeline is different and unique). Go through some of the previous posts and you will get all your answers.

This was my appointment with an RCMP designated doctor in which he went through all of my lab results (blood, vision, hearing, chest x-ray, egg etc) and then looked me over from head to toe, and makes a recommendation if I am medically fit to perform the duties of an RCMP officer.

Oh okay, thanks ! I had my medical appointment with the RCMP doctor in October, but I guess he had not received my lab results yet since he did not said anything about it. He looked me over like the "annual medical exam" too, and that was it.

Hi,

I looked through the forum but could not find a clear answer.

I'm in the security clearance stage and have been since Aug 8th. I am aware some people are called for interviews (either phone or in person). I guess my question is- is everyone contacted is or is it situational? From my understanding rcmp applicants go through secret level clearance and not top secret, and interviews are only mandatory for top secret? I haven't heard anything from departmental security and not sure if I should be waiting to hear from them for an interview or just hoping for some good news from my coordinator.

Thanks

Applicants have to obtain top secret security clearance and it is situational (interview that is). Your RC will (should) keep you posted once a decision has been made. They don't specify it anymore but in the past, it used to state on the application process (RCMP website) that you require top secret clearance and this wasn't too long ago....

The RCMP application outline page has been changing quite frequently in the past few months, it's gone down from 11 "steps" to about 8-9 I believe. So information that was on there has changed / disappeared.

The RMAQ is still mentioned under forms completed, as well as referenced under the PEP. The process doesn't seem to have changed, just how they present it on the website has been condensed.
