Sounds good, Considering I'd love to be posted to BC or Alberta.

Have fun in Ft. Nelson or Ft. Mac. There are good spots in every province, and there are less ideal spots in every province. As I said above, it's a roll of the dice as to whether you'll get a spot you consider desirable, and not everyone will think the same spot is a good one.

Thanks for everyone who gave their knowledge on postings, sure I would love to go to Southern BC or Southern Alberta but will go where the need is, its tough when you have a family and they are trying to prepare for a move to who knows where, just trying to give them a province where we will probably end up, I figured majority goes to BC or Alberta.

I know the feeling, same situation with a family. Preparing for a move, and not knowing where. I find that there is no point in getting the hopes up for anything other than a big surprise.
We have to accept that we don't know, that way nobody feels too disappointed. That's what we are signing up for after all. Now, nobody said you couldn't cross fingers, knock on wood, dance the jig etc etc. :) best of luck in the dice roll :D

They will interview you for a few hours and then confirm your truthfulness for 20 minutes on the polygraph machine at the end. Make sure you're well rested and fed or brings snacks. Good luck.

Found out today that I passed Suitability review. Took a lot less time than anticipated by my recruiter, exactly one week. So happy!

Good luck All.

Pare Test

During the selection process you have to do the PARE in 4:45 or less (depot 4:00 or less) does the time change something for the selection process or is it just pass or fail.

Hi all,

I received word from health services that they received my ECG, xray, and lab results around 3 weeks ago (initial med appt was mid sept). Does anyone know what has to take place once they receive the reports or what a usual turn around is for being medically cleared from that point.

Thanks in advance,

I'm getting mixed answers so I'm wondering if I can receive clearence while I wait for Meds? Is that unheard of? Even if I haven't been given my psych appt? I don't know if clearence is dependant on Med clearence.

My recruiter said they are not dependant and that some applicants do receive clearence while waiting for meds but then told me in an email the complete opposite yesterday.

THIS! For your own sanity...and the sanity of your blood sugar levels. Take some food! If I remember correctly, my interviewer told me that he compiled the short list based on the larger interview. The short list is what gets discussed while being monitored by the equipment. You can find a lot about the PEP on this forum...just search.

Just wondering if all graduating cadets are still doing the two month stint in Ottawa prior to their first detachment posting? If this is still ongoing, does anyone know for how long it will continue? Reason I ask is because I heard from one (possibly unreliable) source that they are no longer doing this.

Hello,

I am leaving for Depot in 12 days and I have been told I was to be sent to Ottawa after my CTP. The exact words were: "There are very great chances that you will be sent to Ottawa once your CTP is over."

Hope this helps.

What are they sending members there for? I leave for Depot in 4 weeks and was NOT told that. :ponder:
