Anyone hear anything about possible postponed classes for the April recruit class due to covid-19?
OPP Hire made a response to people asking similar questions on their Facebook and Instagram pages yesterday.

"No this has not affected applications or our recruitment process."

"There has not been any change to our classes at this time."

This appears promising along with the fact that they are still encouraging people to apply. While this can obviously change due to the dynamic situation, it is the best info I have seen as of yet. A friend of mine also received an LFI invite yesterday so OPP Hire is still moving along.

Hope this is helpful !

Its too early to really know. Its up to the Solicitor General to make that decision. If the numbers keep going up, it most likely will.

As far as I know the ones that are currently there were to finish the course on April 1st. So they’ll shut it down just a week earlier if that is really the case.

Interesting, I guess even if it closes for a month there will still be time before the new May class to get that week completed.. if the May one continues.

Sorry for the delay - source is me. Lol.

We are told we are staying here this weekend and working through the weekend, graduation is on Wednesday (which also isn’t happening) — just getting our stuff.

OPC operations will close effective March 25 until the foreseeable future.

We won’t be effected. Think we graduate a bit earlier than anticipated, but we’re also going to be working through this weekend.

If you are anticipating an offer, or have an offer currently - keep up your fitness, your online learning and continue to show you are invested in this.

Trust me, it’s well worth it. Look forward to working with some of you!
