I am also going down to the library to do some studying, it looks like they have some policy information there. Im not too sure how old it is though. I guess there is only one way to find out....

Before going to the library you should check the Correctional Service of Canada website. csc.gc.ca On the home page there is a link entitled `Policy and Legislation`.

Wow, I'm suprised, I was told by a federal co that they make $21,000 more a year than a bc provincial CO, and I am still an SO (CO in Aug) and I take home between 1100-1180 every two weeks with no overtime. i would think that 22k a year would amount to more than just under a couple hundred a paycheque. I used to be a truck drive and took home 18-2200 a paycheque, maybe i need to go back...

lol... i am just kidding, but that seems low for a federal CX.

I hope so, I'm not holding my breath though... by the looks of it, it can take up to a year... and for the post that I applied to the closing date was Jan 11 10, and it said results available Dec 31 2010! A year until results are available? I hope that's the maximum...

here's hoping.

The prairie region does not have the written test anymore and are currently selecting applicants straight for an interview.

apollo, is this confirmed by a recruiter??, i read the posting through and through and couldnt find anything about testing either??, whats with that? are they really that short for staff??

Sure it's confirmed; I was hired for this Region, but turned them down for the Provincial System in Ontario.

WOW.. You'd never see that in BC.... out here federal>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> provincial.

FFFFFUUUUUUUUU my bad, didn't notice the dates... got lost following links :banghead:

I applied to CSC in December of 2011, passed my tests in February of 2012, passed my interview in June of 2012, and finally passed my medical beginning of August 2012. Does anyone who has applied or been hired recently know what comes after the medical and how long it usually takes? It's been almost two months since I've passed my medical! On the CSC website when I log in it says results available Dec 1 2012.
Any insight would be appreciated!

5 year-old thread, now. *sigh* These applicants really need to learn how to read.

Last time I checked Dec. 1st, 2012 was at least another three months away.
