How long have you been waiting? I completed all steps required besides CTP2 since Feb.20th 2019.

Has anyone heard when the next set of recruits will be going to either Kingston or PEI for stage 3 CTP? I know some are going in June...I’m wondering if there will be any in July or August?

Sooooooo, how's everyone enjoying CTP 2?
I'm finding it very interesting! I'm trying to get through the assignments as fast as humanly possible (hopefully they're right) so I can spend the rest of the time studying.

Is there anyone so far going to CTP 3 in Kingston? I feel so left out that no one is going with me :(
I am. Starting July 9. :)

They should be starting very frequent. Wanting to have 3 running at the same time throughout the year at each Kingston and Summerside. Maybe 4 at a time if it allows.

It's official

Drumheller institution will have a supervised consumption site by the end of the month. I expect that if it'll be in Drum, then it will be everywhere eventually. How do you guys as CSC applicants feel about this? I would be pretty worried about officer safety and political correctness regarding enforcement (How can you be expected to stop drugs from entering institutions when there's a dedicated spot for using?)

I believe there was already a protest/walkout at Kitchener institution regarding supervised consumption...

Will be writing a test in New Brunswick Monday. Got an invite for the 17th, a week and a half or so back.

"Exam: Situational Judgment Test (SJT) for Correctional Officers. This test will assess the judgement required for solving work-related problems similar to those encountered by Correctional Officers.

Please note that this exam is different from the Public Service Commission’s Test of Judgement (TOJ) 375 as well as Situational Judgement Test (SJT) 318. Results from the TOJ-375 and SJT-318 cannot be used for this selection process."

Should be fun.

Nah it's scary. But it's not even the scariest part of working in the jail. Liberal government and their bleeding heart supporters have no idea what these guys are capable of. They already have government subsidized drugs, plus some very safe alternatives, giving them needles is criminal negligence.
Sometimes... you get on here, and just know, you're dealing with "that guy." All your efforts to be, and sound reasonable, are useless. And there are a lot of those guys on blueline.
