RCMP LWOP (Leave Without Pay)

Postby Newfal » Sun Aug 02, 2015 12:11 pm

Has anyone ever taken lwop within the RCMP? I'm mulling it over to allow my wife to do something she's always wanted to do (join military). I would be looking after kids while she would be away/busy. I'm thinking of leave of about a year. Is it easily granted? What is the process to return to work i.e. security clearance, polygraph etc.

I'me aware that it is possible to keep the leave as pensionable service. I have 10+ years service.

Thanks

Come on in to the private PO side, and discuss there.
