RCMP O Division Hiring Freeze

Postby Crawsby » Tue Jul 31, 2012 3:47 pm

I'm currently in a competition for an RCMP civilian position (passed testing & interview an am now on a roster to receive a job offer) however, I have been informed that there is currently a temporary hiring freeze for civilian's in O division.
Does anyone have any insight on when this freeze may be lifted?

Mass exodus from central region right now, so it could be sometime before the hiring freeze is lifted.

Thank you for your replies/insights. Although a little disconcerting considering a) how fast the process had been up until we were notified that there was a hiring freeze (job posting was in January, testing and interview in April and found out at the interview whether or not we were on the roster...then told there was a hiring freeze in May) and b) that the Sgt. in charge of the HR process said these positions were not affected like some other positions are.
