To they vary much? Found alot of information on the RCMP page but nothing that really stands out on the OPP or YRP etc pages. What makes people stay> What makes people go? How does HR deal with these issues? 88)

Retention Initiatives in the RCMP? Wow, that's news to me. As far a staffing goes, I thought it went more like "where would you like to go next?", you provide an answer, and then you hear " thats good, we have a spot over here for you..."

What makes people stay in the RCMP??

-The process to transfer into another police force is a pain in the ass enough that members don't want to go through it.

-After a few years you start thinking you have too much time in, getting older...etc that you don't want to start all over again by leaving the RCMP.

What makes people leave the RCMP??

-You're young enough and thoroughly fed up with the nonsense happening in Ottawa
