Was any reason given?

I could usually accept things like that if there was a reasonably decent explanation.

Pretty much any Detachment near a Provincial Park here in 'F' (especially in lake country) have summer leave restrictions or outright bans from May to September. Makes sense for certain detachments, not for a whole Div, though.

So far nothing but a rumor. But, it was being openly talked about in Div HQ as an option (for North district, not the whole division). Gotta think that this close to summer and no announcement it will not be put into effect. I know of several members who would add that to the "reasons to patch over" list if it was implemented.

if that was the case, i'd be planning my sick days out far in advance.
When things get bad, I take comfort in knowing they could always be worse.

In the Okanagan, members are restricted to 4 days of leave between May long and Labour day ...

They work 12 hour shifts there right? so they still get 12 days off in a row by taking the 4? Does that mean only one block of 4, or only 4 at a time? I WISH I could be working 12's for the 4 on 4 off...
