You did that in a month? Very impressive. What's your routine?

I got it down to 11:37 a few weeks ago, nothing special for a routine. I just go for a run everyday adding a few minutes to it every week. I also do some interval runs at the track, but for the most part it is just running every day. I've also lost 23 pounds since i started running, I might try entering a 5km run before it gets really cold.

Nice!

The Terry Fox runs are starting up in Sept., that would be a great 1st run as it's not competitive, but they have good 5k-10k routes mapped out. You're running for a great cause, and you get the experience of running with others.

Just a thought!

CIBC run for the cure is a nice 5k, I do it every year. Only time my wife goes for a run with me.

As for the cold, I prefer it -- as long as it's above +2C and sunny, I still wear shorts. An easy way to figure out what to wear is to dress as if it's 10-15C warmer.

Finally getting my legs and lungs back. Completed the 1.5 mile run tonight in 10:52. Started out last month around the 12min 30sec mark and had a hard time running the whole distance. Improving run by run!

If you run, you'll only go to jail tired.

I was running 2.24k.m. last summer quite often, best times were mid 8's... (I'd have to check my Garmin data but I believe 8:34).
Would probably have made the 1.5mi in 9 minutes then.

I was in school all fall (and not working out; except the brain), but this year I stretched my regular run out to 3.4k.m. and now to 5.6k.m.; different pace so my 2.4k.m. times won't be 'peak'.

Best was 11:33 in college. First time was 17 and change. Probably worse now. Haven't worked out in months and gained about 40lbs.
