My painfully slow time was outdoors for both times. I run alot better on the treadmill than outside due to less stress on my back and knees.

But I find running outdoor was quite painful!(Might be caused by the concrete I guess). The weather in Vancouver is getting nicer,so everybody should start running/walking :D

Yeah RyanV seems like everyone is going to suffer it..
After weeks of resting and slow jog... I did a 1.5 run again today.. My time was 12:10. Which I guess isn't too bad...

RyanV there are three awards on the wall... fitness, academic, leadership. Which one you plan to take home?

chris 0333 I'm 100% sure we are going to run outside. From 2700 Rutherford to Jane up to Major Mac to Keele and back to 2700 Rutherford... Ryan correct me if I'm wrong. I heard that's 10k right???

Treadmills have some give in the running deck. Ashpalt doesn't :(

I have found running on a proper track much less stressing on the knees than plain old ashphalt.

Me and RyanV have done the P.I.N test today. It was alot different than running on a treadmills indoor. I was suprised to find that my time was actually better. Must be the peer pressure. :cuss: . My time was 12:35 which isn't very good. But I know there will be room for me to improve the next time.

Overall I did okey on my PIN. :)
As for passing it... I don't think there will be any problem since the group is going to run 5 to 10k for the next three weeks. I'm now setting my goal to 11:30 for the 1.5miles. :wounded: I'm like that energizer bunny that will just keep going and going...... peace

I was at Depot on the weekend to see a friend Grad. In the one fitness facility, there is a "Wall of Fame". Some genetic freak ran the 1.5 mile Cooper's Test in 7:09. That's sub 5 minute miles for those counting!! I myself am a slug. At 5'9" and 197lbs, I can pull it off in about 11:30 give or take. 7:09, sheesh, that's insane!!
