Wednesday (Sept 18th):

2500m row
30 push-ups

Total time: 12 minutes.

Thursday (Sept 19th):

30 pull-ups
400m run
12 pull-ups
400m run
5 pull-ups
400m run

Total time: 12 minutes.

Friday (Sept 20th):

In Ottawa for the weekend to take part in the Canada Army run, so enjoying the fitness and pool facilities at the hotel.

10 minutes on elliptical (hill program)
Free weights (chest, biceps, triceps)

Total time: 30 minutes.

Sunday (Sept 22nd):

After enjoying Saturday as a rest day (lots of walking, swimming, etc), this was the day of the race. We did the 5k. My time could have been better, but I was hampered by a few things.....running in a crowd of 12000 people, including people who were walking, lots of kids, plenty of baby strollers, etc.. So I was spending lots of effort wobbling and weaving around slower moving people.....and I did not want to run into to anyone.

My time: 31 minutes.

I wasn't even winded after....feel I could have easily done it in 25 - 27 minutes, but that would have involved being way too aggressive to get ahead of people and a fund raising event isn't the time or place. The event was great and I will totally go back next year. The hotel hot tub was greaaaaattttt after the run.

I've heard that complaint about both the Army Run and the Ottawa Race weekend.

While I have not run the Army, I have been down there a few times since my wife normally runs it and it is always a great atmosphere.

I'm a huge fan of smaller races. I'm pretty claustrophobic at the bigger ones, especially paranoid of getting tripped in the first 100m. And easier to get a PR too. My last race this year will be a 10k in Whitby, about 300 racers total entered in three distances starting at the same time (5k, 10k, 16k).

No PR attempt though, I'm taking a friend to his first race. If he finishes it, it will actually be a huge accomplishment for me.

Today was the Carp Fair strongman. I didn't place where I wanted to, but what can you do? It was a learning experience and next year is another season.

Events:
Loading, 2 200lb kegs and a 200lb sandbag to a higher of 36-40 inches I guess. Equipment was 50 feet away from the platform. Total time, 42 seconds. I was worried about pacing and as such, held too much back. Next time, balls out.

220 Log Press for reps - 1 rep. Could not get comfortable. Also, haven't trained shoulders in a while because my shoulder still isn't right. Not happy with this at all.

600 Yoke carry for 100ft - 27 seconds. This was a PR and I was very happy with this effort.

Car Deadlift - no clue on the weight, 2 reps that counted. Somehow, I messed this up and nearly had my spine shoot out my ass.

255 Stone over bar - 6 reps, and I kept my teeth this time.

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zMEh-MLAdE Missing are the loading and log press. I had Shinedown's Sound of Madness as music, but youtube didn't like it. But the music has been (is in the process of being removed as of posting this) removed so it should play.

This was the end of my season. I am tired, bruised and sore. But hungry to dominate next year.

Now THAT would be some entertaining video, with or without music!
I guess that hard work is paying off.

BTW, my in-laws in Kanata are moving in a month or so. They might have some heavy stuff if you're looking at the post-season.

I took a couple days rest after the 5k....felt great.

Wednesday (Sept 25th):

500m row
50 squats
100 assisted pullups
100 pushups
50 KB Swings (50lb)
500m row

Total Time: 16 minutes.

Thursday (Sept 26th):

Insanity (The Asylum) "Relief" - 23 minutes.

Friday (Sept 27th):

Insanity "Fast and Furious" - 21 minutes.

Saturday (Sept 28th):

I did another 5k run...this time for York Region Victim Services. Went nice and easy and came in at 29 minutes.

Sunday (Sept 29th):

4800m row

Total time: 20 minutes.

Monday (Sept 30th):

1250m row
50 KB swings
50 push-ups
50 pull ups
1250m row

Total time: 15 minutes.

Tuesday (Oct 1st):

2.15m Hill and speed interval run (varying speeds and inclines)

Total time: 18 minutes. Quite happy with my interval runs as of late. This one I did the same distance as I previously did in 20 minutes. Every run, I'm squeezing in a little more distance in same time.

Thursday (Oct 3rd):

21-15-9 set reps of:
KB snatches
Pull ups

Followed by;
10 minutes of HIIT treadmill running

Total time: 16 minutes.
