You're a machine.
Why did the transitions take longer than practice? People in the way?
K division.

After the swim, it's about a 200m run from the beach to the transition area. Had to unexpectedly use the potty too. Then it's about 100m to walk the bike before you can mount and start riding. So, those are things I didn't factor into practice.
The second transition, I had to dismount at the end of the bike course, walk my bike about 100m back through the transition area to rack it and get changed, then leave the transition area to the start of the run, which was about half way back to the beach.
I'll be a lot more efficient next time I think, I could have been under 3 hours.
A buddy of mine that has some experience in triathlon shadowed most of the way. He stopped at 5k on the bike to help a lady fix a flat tire, and still caught up to me at the 25k mark. And he just completed the Ironman at Tremblant two weeks prior. His time there was something like 1:11 for the 3.8k swim, 5:45 for the 180k bike, then 3:51 for the 42.2k run for an overall time of 11 hours. He's a machine, and I'm hoping he follows me when I enter a half Ironman.

Re: Regular Fitness
So after a few weeks of workout hibernation, back at it today! Took some summer time 'off' time, lots of stuff with hubby and kiddies, and now back to the old grind!
Had a nice weight w/o, 2 rounds of Cybex circuit. 4 machines upper body.
Leg Press - 3 rounds of 10
Leg Extension - 3 rounds of 10
Then changed things around from my norm, and did my run after weights. I'm determined to go slow and Not be sore
so I only ran 2 miles today at a slower pace.
We'll see how I feel tomorrow!

Re: Regular Fitness
At this point I would say prob not. I just don't think i'll be able to get the training in. I'm starting back into it now, but the going will be slower for a bit.
I bet you're already signed up for the full enchilada....am I right??

Re: Regular Fitness
Well, I think you've done lots competitively already this year! Terry fox 10k coming up this weekend. I'm going to try and get there in between my Baseball Tourney
I may be able to swing it b/c they are close by each other. We'll see....
I'd really like to get in there, and my family would like to participate as well.

Re: Regular Fitness
You two are crazy......running longer than 5kms.
I'm doing the Canada Army 5k at third weekend of September and that's as far as I go. Lol. After that.....jumping in the car.
