My best advice to anyone who has had a layoff later in life... start slow, be consistent, set goals and you'll get there.

This applies to returning from injuries too...but is probably the hardest part in coming back, taking your time to get where you were before.

I would like to include crossfit as part of my workout, but I am not familiar with the terminology used to describe some workout, e.g: Amrap.

I made some research on the matter but did not found a reliable website. Anyone has a website to suggest?

AMRAP - As many rounds as possible
WOD - Workout of the day
KBS - Kettlebell Swings
TGU - Turkish Get Up

To name a few.

Been going to an actual affiliate since June now. Did the team series this summer with the GF and a few people from the gym. Entered the open for the first time for this year! My max lifts have gone way up thanks to the coaching! Part owner is a copper so it's very LE friendly.

Yesterday I about died:

Yep our box is doing it again this year.

A bunch of us are buying tickets for the games this year too. Now that they've moved the games to Madison Wisconsin it's only a 10hr drive.

A bunch of us from the box went to see the Invitational this year and I had a really good time. It's very entertaining to see people you only usually see in instagram videos or on the internet compete in person.
