Help picking New SBA Carrier

Postby kykamo » Thu Jun 27, 2019 5:55 am

Hey guys,

So I'm trying to decide on a new SBA Carrier and am hope someone of who have experience with both can help. I'm stuck between getting a Mayflower LPAAC or a LOF Defense Patroller.

Im just looking for a light weight comfortable carrier (who isnt) that i can put some new armour into. Lots of cops and Peace Officers i see using the Patroller and the ERT and Dog men units using the LPAAC.

Which would you get and why?

Thanks

Well one is an actual SBA carrier that offers full coverage. The other isn't and is meant for ICW HBA....But you do you.

Better yet, do you need a PALS/MOLLE system?

EDIT: Didn't realize you were on the PO side

I didnt think the Mayflower had bad coverage...maybe a little short? I know i want my coverage to be 13" long from neck down.

Yes I would want pals on my carrier.

thanks for replying

Are you also going to be getting the panels from whichever manufacturer you order the carrier from?

No, I would like to get Point Blank Alpha Elite panels. Ill have to figure out how that will work with whatever carrier i get. Whether I can request a special cut from the armour or a special fit for the carrier.

Safe life defense also have a pretty slick looking carrier and you can get whatever patches you want (I also have a panel sizing sheet they emailed me a while back that you could use to compare panel fit)

Another bonus is they offer add on side protection.

Ive looked at everything I can find. Im really interested in the Mayflower and the LoF Defense carriers.

Ive spoke with LOF and they can make a carrier for any armor cut. Ill probably go with them. Now im just looking for armor to go with

I like the ones made by alitac in new Westminster bc, they are in my opinion a lot nicer. I know there are a lot of officers who get carriers made by him. the QRTAC is my favourite and has more options than what ive seen from others. its worth a look.

I have these panels and I brought them to AliTac in New Westminster. He made a carrier custom fit to my SBA with internal pouches for my personal HBA. Great prices especially for the amazing quality. I believe he can do shipping orders if you give him exact measurements, but don't quote me on that.

I have a few LOF carriers. I have the internal, external, sentinel and SCAR. All amazing quality, and super comfortable. Also have their battle belt which is great too.
