Corrections Boots

Postby Highland2012 » Fri Sep 11, 2015 4:51 pm

Hey guys, I could use some suggestions on a pair of work boots for Corrections. I'm getting a little tired of the Walmart special issued ones. Danners are on my wish list, but i'm not about to fork out 350$ for a pair of Acadia's. I have to wait until next year before I get a "decent" set of leather ones.

Thanks guys.

5.11 ATAC 8".

I have owned probably 5 or 6 pairs of these in different colours and varieties over the years. My last work set (5 days @ 10hrs/day) lasted 2 straight years. My last coyote-tan set lasted 3 years and only got junked because I wore a hole in the suede where the toe creased during walking.

For $99USD you can't go wrong.

Yeah 5.11's ATAC SHIELD 8" here... side zip... composite toe cap... I get about 2 solid years out of them. Locally about $160 ish I think? Proven to be waterproof.
