I thought you dissapeared years ago? (unless you're someone else with a similar name)

Bahahahha you guys are too funny. I may or may not be the original, who forgot their password and who's agency changed their name for the umpteenth million time so their originally email they joined with no longer exists... I will never admit anything as I don't know what electronic network policies the other guy may have violated way back when lol.

gotta ask,

How do you guys get away with rocking the 511 stryke pants?

I was checking them out the other day and they are blatantly tac pants. From the fabric to the pockets, they just stand out.

Our issued pants are navy blue cargoes and in the majority of places no one cares. The only time I've seen management get uppity is when an officer "blouses" the TDUs. Some regions (Pacific and Prairie) have everyone from officers all the way to the director wearing 5.11s whereas in Atlantic region you will face disiciple for not wearing the issued pants.

Well in my work place half of us can't even get issued pants because things are perpetually back ordered. It results in people being sent for local purchase and that results in uniform pants being anything but uniform so when I rock my 5.11s no one says anything because even if they made me wear my "issued" pants they wouldn't be the same as the uniform pants either.

The 5.11 look better, look more uniform, hold their colour, and are all around a more professional looking pant anyways.

Also how can they prove what is or is not issued? In the last 4 years alone each year I was issued a completely different style of pant by a different manufacturer because my size was never available.

Add to that a good portion of Officers are getting "cotton only" medicals, which are local purchase, and which end up being 5.11s anyways.
