5.11 Tactical Patrol Uniforms

Postby AdminSSGT » Mon Nov 05, 2012 6:38 pm

Anyone out there using the 5.11 Tactical uniforms for their Patrol and other uniform sections (not the ripstop stuff)? Just looking for some feedback, I've heard some good and some bad, but usually it's just word of mouth stuff and not based on actual experience with the uniforms.

We just ordered 5.11 patrol jackets. We should be getting them by the end of the year.

BCAS uses the 5.11 TDU as standard issue pants right now. A lot of people of upgrade to the EMT Pants. They do seem to fade faster than the shirts (not 5.11) but no complaints really.

We use the Tactical Pants for our uniform. Probably best uniform pants I've ever been issued.... except for the stupid shoelaces at the bottom cuff.

I use mine as intended and blouse my pants. Great to keep the left pant leg down with a thigh rig.

I've used the TDU for UoF/DTT and their older Class B uniform pants & the PDU B class pants. Good stuff, no complaints here. I find the cut is better than most of the other stuff I've been issued, though I liked my Blauer stuff too. I have some 5.11 Class B's that are 4 or 5 years old and aren't as faded as the pairs of Nichols pants I was issued less than a year ago. Those are sh!t.

Agreed. I have no issues what-so-ever with paying $50 out of pocket to be more comfortable and so that I am not having to stand up at PIL every 5 minutes to adjust everything.

Several people I work with buy their own 5.11 pants and all agree it's worth the cost. Been thinking about getting some myself.

I must report this post to management due to the new code of conduct.

LOL
Anyways....the only reason I don't buy the 5.11s to wear at work is the lack of the rubberized inner-waistband to hold the shirts tucked in. If they had that I would.

We were issued those jackets back in March. They're pretty friggin' sweet.
